Google Play also has several apps free & on sale, though they have so many offerings it's not as simple & easy as Amazon in this case.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/category/GAME?hl=en
Both sites will let you sign in from your PC/laptop, browse & find whatever apps & games, and I'll say "purchase" them, whether they actually cost you any money or not. Then your cell or tablet will automagically download them & install. Works the same for Kindle books, or the Google Play versions too.
Do be careful about downloading/installing apps & games from other than those 2 sites though, & even they aren't foolproof by any means.

The explosive growth in mobile malware that began in 2011 has continued this year. There are now more than 148,427 mobile malware modifications in 777 families. The vast majority of it, as in recent years, is focused on Android – 98.05% of mobile malware found this year targets this platform. This is no surprise. This platform ticks all the boxes for cybercriminals: it’s widely-used, it’s easy to develop for and people using Android devices are able to download programs (including malware) from wherever they choose. This last factor is important: cybercriminals are able to exploit the fact that people download apps from Google Play, from other marketplaces, or from other web sites. It’s also what makes it possible for cybercriminals to create their own fake web sites that masquerade as legitimate stores. For this reason, there is unlikely to be any slowdown in development of malicious apps for Android.http://www.securelist.com/en/analysis/204792320/Kaspersky_SecurityBulletin_2013_Forecasts
In 2014, we can expect cybercriminals to take another logical step in the development of these types of Trojan programs and turn their attention to mobile devices. Android-based devices will no doubt be the first to be targeted. Encryption of user data on smartphones – photos, contacts, correspondence – is easy if the Trojan has administrator rights, and distributing such programs (including via official stores like Google Play) is not difficult either.Posted 10 years ago # -
Have you checked the Android pages at Gizmo and MajorGeeks? FWIW, MajorGeeks also has a "best FREE new Android apps and games" post each week in their news section (latest one is here).

This is an app that you download to your phone. Every day, they offer a paid game or in game currency for free, similar to GOTD but for your android. I can attest to appgratis, I've been using for quite some time now and can verify that it is legit. Occasionally, they also offer a discount on an app as well as the free one so keep an eye on the bottom of the app for possible discounted apps, as well.
Also, not sure of where you're located, but App of the Day is similar too. It's not available in the U.S. Currently, it's only available in Germany, UK, Italy, Canada, Spain, South America, Brazil, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, and Australia. You can circumvent that by using a proxy on your phone though. I can't verify this one myself because I don't want to take the time of setting up a proxy to get it, but I can tell you it's one of the top apps in the Itunes store and is growing quickly in the Play store.
And of course as mikie mentioned, there's always Amazon's free app of the day.

@all above, thank you for all your suggestions I am going to check them out :D
@wizard : I am from Germany, so I dont need a proxy, but thanks for the headsup!
I am not into games (either on PC, or phone) at all, havent played any video/pc/console games for 18 years , and dont plan to change that :)
so many thanks again for the links to the apps for well, all other purposes than games :D

Sorry, I shouldn't have said appgratis gives away a free game, they do other apps too, it's just usually games more often than not.

Glarysoft, BitsduJour and the Daily Software giveaway sites also give away apps, but only occasionally. Usually its PC and Mac based apps. Still, it's worth checking these sites every day. They all seem to give away the same products over a period of weeks, so, if you miss it on one site, you're likely to find it elsewhere over the next couple of weeks.
