   Bonus 1: Cheats
   In game.ini, under section "init", insert "cheat=true" to enable cheats. Use F1 to F5.

   Bonus 2: Make your own mods
   Make a mod, and then use datmake.exe (or something similar) extracted from one of the .dat files with UnDATF to create your own encrypted .dat.

   Thank you for this GMMan, unlike Stephen, I find the ball too fast!!! so I have downloaded this program. It should make the game much more enjoyable for me.

   Thanks GMMan. looking forwards to checking this out. Theres at leat 800 levels that I've never played simply because I got fed up of the slowness. lol. Do you want me t pass the program on to alawar. they may be interested in it???

   So, some clarifications because I was in a rush to get things posted:

   This program changes the ball speed in Hyperballoid, per the title. All info is in the ZIP, so I don't need to say anything further about it here.

   Bonus 1:
   Enable cheats as above. F1 and F2 decrease and increase ball size, F3 and F4 decrease and increase paddle size, and F5 clears level.

   Bonus 2:
   I might have a template mod around some time later. For the time being, use UnDATF to extract game files (search the forums for the link, or dig through http://www.mediafire.com/GMMan ). In a few of the .dat files, Alawar accidentally included their .dat build tool, called datbuild.exe. Change some of the game files to your liking, and then rebuild. To rebuild, open up a Command Prompt, change your working directory to the root of the package directory (that is, "cd" to the folder with the files "prestart" and "start" in them). Then type the path of the datbuild.exe tool (in XP, you can just drag it to the window; in Vista, you have to Shift-Right click the file, choose the item to get file path, and paste it into the command prompt by right clicking and choosing Paste). Hit Enter, and then the program will generate a genuine encrypted .dat, named "out.dat". Rename that to something meaningful, and move it into your Hyperballoid directory.
