Project Microlife (2.4Mb)
Sector 9 is the last unconquered region of space. It contains millions of planets, rich with minerals essential to the continuation of the human race. Most planets are populated with vicious life forms - these we can handle. However, the planets are also infested with diseases that are wiping our workers out. All efforts to fight these diseases have failed.
But there is a hope. A new anti-virus has been developed. A microscopic creature that resides in the blood stream, annihilating all disease. The tests must be completed - this anti-virus is essential to the very survival of the human race. Project microlife must succeed.
Project Microlife is basically a Robotron clone that uses bugs for sprites. The game is a well-polished arena shmup, in which you control an 'anti-virus' where you must rid each level of all viruses. The controls Shooting may feel a little odd at first but once you get used to the game can be a lot of fun. Beware though it’s quite a hard game.
