Advanced Strategic Command is a free, turn based strategy game. It is designed in the tradition of the Battle Isle series from Bluebyte and is currently available for Windows and Linux.
ASC can be played both against the AI and against other human players, using hotseat or PlayByMail. It is also used to run the multiplayer universe Project Battle Planets. The game has full support for several languages and you can get tutorials in English French and German.
The maps that come with the game are quite limited but you can download loads of custom made maps HERE (You’ll need to click on the maps link to the top left of the page). You can also import maps from the original Battle Isle game if you can find maps on the net. The game is frequently updated, so it will be worth checking back occasionally to see if any major updates have been made
