Hi!I think the software you should giveaway is Windows live onecare as Im using it now(the trial version)and I find it very useful. There's a virus and spyware scan, a tune-up which features a quick scan, defragmentation, latest updates from Microsoft, and a backing up for all important files! The last section is backing up and restoration. This is only the trial version(lasts for only 90 days) and the full version features much more! I think it is a very good software and most users will benifit from it! For more infomation, go to http://onecare.live.com/standard/en-us/purchase/trial.htm?sc_cid=mscom_hp . Thx!

Well you could always send an email to Microsoft asking if they will give their software away for free... (I'm not holding my breath on that one).
The reason why companies can maintain software like this - researching and releasing regular updates for the antivirus and antispyware software, is because they charge a subscription fee.
As GOTD software is provided without support or updates, relying on such a product for more than one week for virus and spyware protection would not make sense, as the protection offered would decrease with each missed update.

The program came bottom against the main players in the antivirus league.

Ok, so maybe that program would not be on Giveaway of the day. But I would like a program similar to Windows Live Onecare, such as Advanced WindowsCare Professional(February 26, 2007) and Premium Booster(February 13, 2007)(Sadly, I missed both of them) to be on Giveaway Of The day. I hope they can repeat the offer again(If I was given a choice, I would choose Premium Booster to be repeated).Thx!

You could always buy them.
I have just purchased two of the giveaways from the past months that have been posted on the front page.
