After going through the full download of the Picture Collage Maker, I got a message asking me to pay the $39+ or offering me a 15 day free trial. What gives?? This was downloaded for free within the timeframe provided (close but fully instaled before the door closed). Now what.
FREE Giveaway of the Day (Picture Collage Maker) is only a 15 day trial?

I had some problems registering the program yesterday, but sorted it in the end. Unfortunately I can't tell you what I did as I was on auto pilot yesterday (following a bad night). The opiates I take tend to make me really forgetful. Just checked the program and it's still registered.
You've probably had the same problem I had. If you've still got the read me, you should still be able to register it using the code that was provided. (Giveaways can still be registered for a few hours after the giveaway so long as you've installed the program. some codes will work all the time.
If you don't manage to get it registered, it's likely to be given away again sometime in the not too distant future as this has been given away before. In fact I think I won a full version for posting some suggestions a few years ago.
The other giveaway site from Glarysoft (not allowed to post the link despite Glarysoft advertising/linking to the giveawayoftheday - was asked not to by the owners several months ago), tend to give away the same programs that the giveawayoftheday give away and even Bitsdujour, so I'd check those sites regularly. you may be pleasantly surprised (though i can't guarantee that Picture Collage maker will be given away by these sites.

You most often need to install & register software while signed into a Windows Admin account, as well as run the apps as admin when you register them. That way you can be more sure that the software actually writes your registration info to disk. It's often also important to make sure that the app is allowed to phone home, has on-line access that isn't blocked by firewall software, since during registration many of the GOTDs do check with their company servers on-line to make sure everything's OK with the registration.
Picture Collage Maker Pro itself didn't seem to do anything out of the ordinary, but it did store registration data in the User section of the registry -- I can't say whether they had anything to do with registration, but files were also changed in the Shared Documents & user App Data folders. You'd want to make certain that you had permission to write to those folders & to the User section of the registry.
