That game is a really good game. Imo it is much better than Magic Ball.

Thanks Michelle, I've been waiting for this one to go on sale.
Grab this while you can. It's their latest breakpit game (though now almost 2 years old. The following was a comment I posted about it in the Alawar comments section during Beta Testing:
I bought this while it was still in Beta testing. I wasn't disappointed. It's a reasonable (not big) improvement on it's predecessor Strike Ball 2, with better graphics, better brick physics and the ability to upgrade all of the power ups in the game by collecting stars from each round. As each upgrade becomes available for each of the power ups of which there are 18. I do think that the game would have been better if not all of the power ups (apart from the ones with numbered rockets or bullets etc) were timed. For example you can have up to three or four barriers (depending upon which upgrade you've bought), I think that these should have been permanent and not timed as one they are hit once they disappear anyway. Also the circular saw and air raid power ups should have random paths as opposed to the same path every time. Quite often, depending upon when the power up is gained, these become useless, as the saws or bombs hit nothing. The paddle attraction (borrowed from Reflexives ricochet series) was a good addition) I do wish that editors were included with such games. I was pleased when you finally added an editor to the latest Hyperballoid game, but this is now in it's third incarnation and we still don't get an editor. 100 levels are just not enough. I've only had this game for a week and have almost finished it already.
For less than $2 you can't go wrong and I agree with you Michelle, it's much better than any of the Magic Ball series though the graphics aren't as good as MB3 and 4
I love the powerups in this game. I got Strike Ball 3 in a collection of games I got and it was the first game of this kind (brick buster) game I played and I loved it. I played it from beginning to end. It made me purchase Action Ball 2 on gamehouse.
Strike Ball 3 was just added to MyPlayCity.com today.
That's cool. MyPlayCity is building up a fantastic collection of free arcade games.
Thanks for this Michelle.... I see they're also doing Azangara for the same price :-)
Yes, I should have posted that them all. All 3 of them, but Strike Ball 3 is a really good brick buster game. When I seen it was on sale I posted it immediately.
Azangara's on MyPlayCity, too:
You'll also find Azangara on Gametop too:
http://www.gametop.com/download-free-games/dungeon-raider/
Though the name of the game has been changed to dungeon Raider. We got this one as a game giveaway a few years ago.
Thanks for the many heads-ups Michelle. And as for you, Dragonlair, as soon as I thought the thought of sharing here I found you'd already been here with the news. ;-)

Yep, they sure have come a long way, but so has Gametop if you look back far enough (used to be sunny games), and they are definitely worth using at the moment, with nothing to worry about if you're careful with installation.
Now for some heads-ups of my own. Some may have noticed that myplaycity.com has run additional sites to distribute their games but the most notable one these days is bgames.com.
The BGames branding actually looks and feels better although new games have often lagged a day or two behind the parent site. The game downloads from both sites are hosted at files.myplaycity.com but they originate from a different directory and contain slightly different content, mostly due to branding.
Note the size of the Strike Ball 3 setup.exe for example:
23.34mb @ bgames
24.65mb @ myplaycity
The difference? The bgames one doesn't have any toolbar stuff included. So, at this time I'd definitely favor the bgames brand, and the site itself seems to offer a better gaming portal.
Since I dislike installers and have no use for their junk and shortcuts placed all over my computer I'll once again offer my advice for dealing with the game installers from most of the free game sites: just unpack them like a ZIP using innounp, the Inno Setup Unpacker. It's fast and easy, and once extracted you can just rename/move the folder and then create a shortcut to the game.exe and put it wherever you like. No mess, no fuss. I use it to unpack games and utilities all the time since Inno is perhaps the most popular setup packager around these days. Note: innounp is distributed as a RAR archive, if you can't open that format you can always use the online archive extractor at http://wobzip.org. The software consists of a single self-contained exe and a help file.
InnoUnP is command line program so one of the the easiest ways to use it is to put innounp.exe, a setup.exe and a batch file all in the same folder, then you can drag the setup.exe and drop it on top of the batch file to extract it. To create the batch file just paste the following code into a text editor and save the file as "unpack.bat".
innounp.exe -x %1
Thanks Delilah and Whiterabbit, I grabbed it off My Play City... they certainly have lot's of games in their collection.
