Do you remember the Flatout games; a superb series of games originally released back in 2004, with Flatout 2 released in 2006, Flatout: Ultimate Carmage - a rehash of Flatout 2 with improved graphics and the number of cars you raced again (in single player) increased from 8 to 12, released in 2007. Flatout: Head On was released for the consoles in 2008 and Flatout for the Wii in 2010. Finally, Flatout 3: Chaos & Destruction was released in 2011 (A big disappointment in my opinion due in part to very poor controls and reduced graphics quality compared to the previous PC release 4 years earlier).

You can see video of the prototype in action HERE and HERE
The developers of these games have now got another game in the pipeline called Next Car Game: A Motorsport With Attitude! and is being backed via one of the source funding projects (Kickstarter).
The developers have dug up the prototype to the original series and are giving it away for free. I've played the game for an hour and although rough around the edges (as you'd expect with a prototype, it was quite enjoyable to play. With practice, you should be wizzing around the race tracks with ease.
I thought it would be nice to post a link to the freebie here as part of the good games to grab project.
You can download the game via THIS LINK.
p.s.
If you are interested in backing the new game you can get the game on release for as little as $20; (I expect the game will cost around £25 to £30 on release (that's around $37 to $45) if you want beta access it'll cost you $30 and with a custom car $40. You can see a video presentation about the new game by the developers HERE
