   So I downloaded the 6.23MB ZortramMP3MediaStudio.zip file from GOTD. Extracted and installed using the Setup.exe on the day of the giveaway.

   Read the readme in the .zip file.

   Here's what it said:

   Installation

   Unzip the package you`ve downloaded and run Setup.exe which is included in the package, to
   install and activate the software.

   You have to install it before the Giveaway offer for the software is over.

   Terms and conditions

   Please note that the software you download and install during
   the Giveaway period comes with the following important limitations:
   1) No free technical support
   2) No free upgrades to future versions
   3) Strictly non-commercial usage

   Thought it was odd that there was no Serial, but figured it was embedded in the install.

   Now, 2 days later, It's telling me I need to purchase the pro version to use any of the functionality.

   Where did I go wrong? Am I the only one who has had this problem?

   I like the software, but I'm pretty reluctant to give them my money now. Kinda feel like I got bait n switched.

   Oh yea. Win 7 Ult 64 bit

   As I don't know what you did after installing the programme, I don't know what you did wrong or if you did something wrong. Please look at the FAQ:
   

   I downloaded, installed and registered the program on the giveaway date, but after time the version became trial. What’s wrong?

   
   Time will show if you are the "only one who has had this problem"; until now, there are no other complaints (I know of) and I didn't install that GOTD.

   You could go back to a "restore point", but be very cautious! by this way you could lose other registry entries.

   More luck next time.

   That's really weird. I'm fairly sure the serial number is compiled in with the program. Maybe you accidentally downloaded an update or something like that?

   Hey guys, thanks for the help.

   GMMan I downloaded and ran the installer from the GOTD zip file. So unless they put the wrong file in that, I'm stumped.

   Despite my misgivings, I went ahead and paid the $30 for a reg# from them.

   entered that# and I'm being told "Invalid registration of Key"

   At this point, my initial positive impression of this software is somewhat more negative. I hope their support is better than their product.

   We shall see.

   I've got the same problem on 2 systems (XP 32bit & Win7 Pro 64bit). Both show Zortam Mp3 Media Studio Pro 11.10 "Licensed To: GOTD" under Help -> About. When I try to use any Pro feature it pops-up "To continue to use this options you have to upgrade to Zortam Mp3 Media Studio PRO. After purchasing PRO license enter your registration number."

   It also appears that a user named Dawn is having the same probelm:
   "63.I downloaded and installed as per directions and now two days later it is telling me to buy the software. There was no registration code in the zip and no other activation information. Can someone help?

   I'm seeing several comments for the front page with users experiencing the problem that the product has gone back to a limited or trial state with the pro features being disabled.

   I'll forward this onto the GOTD team. Perhaps there was a misunderstanding - "giveaway fully functioning software for 24 hours" vs. "giveaway software that functions fully for 24 hours".

   Hopefully they can fix this soon.

   Hi again,

   the latest news from the Vendor is that there is a bug in the program indeed and that is why the version has been locked again recently. Zortam Corporation is really sorry for the situation.

   Good news is we will have a rerun soon for GOTD users to have the full-functioning Zortram MP3 Media Studio Pro back.

    BTW. In their defense. Their support team got back to me within a few hours of me e-mail'ing them. I uninstalled the GOTD install and D/L from their site. They sent me a new key. Plugged in the Key and I'm up n running.

    Still irritated about paying $30, but thats what I get for being impatient. Que Sera.

    I'm going out of town in a couple of days and I hope I'm not gone when this is re-offered! I already invested too much time trying to determine if I had done something wrong when I installed the program - I'd hate for it to be a waste. I'm anxious to see if the program is as good as it looks!
