I have been using Screen Camera since the giveaway without a problem - yesterday I received a message for a free update - not it says product is out of trial period - is there any way to fix this or should I just uninstall the program?

Games GuruDid you install the update? If so that will be what has caused the problem/ Most giveaways do not support upddates unless otherwise stated (for example the lat zoner photo studio allowed updating but only to updates withing the same build number. Unless you created a restore point after installing the program and before installing the update there;s little you can do, unless you are able to reinstall the original version. (Not sure whether we got a seperate setup file for that one though and if we did you would have had to have kept it).

is the program you are referring to "Total Screen Recorder Gold 1.5" from July 28, 2010?...

if you allowed an update, it's as WR & graylox said...
if you did or not, the program will try to phone home every time it's started (personally, i trust mikes reviews...that's just me)...
i don't know if the message will keep appearing if you permanently block the "phone home" with your firewall...try it & see if you still get the message, then decide if you want to delete?...
i didn't install the program, so i'm sorry i can't be of more help...
