As per request of Graylox, here's a mini review of Gamextazy.
To me, Gamextazy is like the no-nonsense storefront to Alawar. Pretty clean looking, and it seems you can find what you want easily. The free games section, though, seems a bit limited to me. But they are showcasing their best games, so you really can't complain about that.
Downloading and installing free games: The package is downloaded from Alawar's servers, with "Gamextazy" prepended to the filename. The installer is the standard Alawar version. It'll ask you if you want to install its game box and/or toolbar through a "select components" page. Uncheck both if you don't want them. Interestingly, the installer tries to access the Internet for something. I think it's related to the addons, but I'm not sure because I never allow it Internet access. Installing process is the same with any other Inno installer after that.
Running the game: You are presented with a standard Alawar wrapper interface, except it has an ad and a single Play button on the right instead of some sort of intro and a timer. It seems that you are presented with the ad once when you start the game, and it will bring you to Gamextazy after you exit the game. I can presume the box on the wrapper is an ad, but it shows as a big white patch to me because I didn't allow the wrapper Internet access (not that I want to). I'm not sure if the game gets interrupted in the middle because I didn't really use the wrapper to launch the game. Instead, I just directly run the .wrp.exe file (Magic Encyclopedia 1). A rule of thumb for Alawar: if the .wrp.exe is hidden, then it's not wrapped. It's true for any Alawar game that's like this, whether free or not. That can be a good or bad thing, depending on how you look at it.
Yeah, that's pretty much it. All I have to say is it's like any other Alawar game.
