I tried to download the Spotmau Privacy Kit today and the signature was not valid. So, like any good computer user, I did not download it fully! The last 3 giveaway software downloads have been either invalid signature, or have been a suspicious software. I just wish that the moderators of this site, would check the software validity, before offering it to us computer users.

What signature? AFAIK GOTD's wrappers are not signed. And even checking the unwrapped installers ... they are not validated. Now, I'm not sure what that means (it's either non-installed root certificates or date/time/filename has something to do with it), but the installers' own validity checks never failed (or maybe it's just me, because Inno doesn't seem to perform validity checks).

The GOTD project team checks every software they provide.
A missing signature / certificate is not a threat. I would say most of the software we are installing, don't have any signature, especially software distributed by smaller developers, because that's pricey.
Today's developer has not the best reputation (read the other thread:) Yet another unreliable developer...
and the programme has a lot of advertising for other programmes of that developer, but it is not attacking your system.
What was wrong with Inpaint (a very good tool) or the CuteReminder?
Please don't make unproven statements.

Hmm... Almost every Inno package I've checked from GOTD does include a digital signature, but non of them (or rarely) ever validates, regardless wrapped or not. I still think it's a root certificate thing, because I haven't heard of quite a few of the CAs that approved the certificates.
Of course, considering what is started first... GOTD wrappers are not signed. If you allow privilege elevation, you shouldn't see any prompts for subsequent installers.

Just saw that you wrote a similar comment 2 days ago.
Two of the Give away of the day's softwares were bad!
Please stop your accusations when you don't have any evidence.
Thank you.graylox
