I agree. The same applies to Abandonware titles available for free download. I take this announcement as a gesture of goodwill from the X-Setup developers towards their supporters.

I look at it as an opportunity to preserve a slice of history.
X-Setup and it's authors will not be gone until the last copy falls. As long as we remember.
I can no longer create, but should that be a reason not to preserve?
