   WOW, my first impression is just: WOW
   I'm sure I'll keep it. I confess, I'm collecting photo editors and graphics programmes - though I'm currently rather lazy actually using them.
   Trying this editor is easy, as everywhere a help note pops up.
   You can add your .8bf filters collection, a few are already included.
   Yeah, I think I'll activate my PayPal. This will be one of the few pay-for programmes I have on my system; like most of you, I like freeware or bargain-ware ;)

   thanks for sharing graylox.

   Just ended up buying it for a couple of bucks. It really is a nice a program though. I checked it out before I bought and just getting into the basic features that all picture programs have, it does them far better and nicer. The other features I havent checked out.

   Just for photo enhancement it blew photofiltre studio X away, but photofiltre will do other things I dont how to do.

   Although the sale technically ended on the 14th May, the developer is still accepting donations via the link that Graylox has provided above. I wasn't sure whether the offer was valid anymore so i though I'd do a test purchase so donated $2. Nothing appeared to happen, so I contacted the developer, who said the offer was still valid. His site had gone down during my purchase, which is why i'd not received any notification about reg codes etc. Now I fell foolish for donating such a ridiculous amount.

   The registration process seemed a little antiquated. When I inputted my registration code I received a message saying it could take several hours for my reg code to be vrified. another negative i fond was that the editor is limited to editing only four formats JPEG, TIFF, BMP and RAW and can only save in JPEG and TIFF. Still, for the price I paid I cannot complain. I was looking for a simple to use editor that had mor than the usual freeware versions, as I've lost a lot of what I knew about my copy of photoshops (CS1) and find it hard to re learn since taking all the drugs I have to take.

   I bought it as well. I found it had a lot of the effects I use in one place (highlights, shadows, brightness, contrast, etc) whereas in Photoshop it's all in separate menus. Photoshop might be more precise but for your average snapshots its more than enough. It also does cloning and supports Photoshop filters (.8bf files mentioned above). It really does a lot of the same things, it's just laid out in a more obvious manner. Everything has a pop-up line to tell you what each slider or option does, as well. I'm really just echoing what graylox has said above. It's well worth a try! Don't forget to try out the filters and effects tab behind the quick edit tab - I missed it the first time I tried it!

   I can verify that the pay-what-you-want sale is still valid, as I just now bought it with a PayPal donation and successfully got my registration code via email from Mr. Rob Nelson (very nice gentleman.) - He also confirmed that he shuts down the servers at night due to memory problems, so it may take awhile before you get the code.

   me too, though I should note that users with 32 bit AMD CPU's can't run it- it needs the SSE2 instruction set. Pentium 4 Intel or 64 bit AMD minimum. <sigh>
