BTW, I downloaded SIM from giveawayoftheday a couple days ago, but hadn't run the program yet until yesterday. After I ran it's scan yesterday, a quick start icon was placed on my task bar and my computer went into a super slow state for everything it did, for an entire day. I realized that SIW was the last new program I ran and that it was probably what slowed me down. I used the wonderful free version of Revo Uninstaller to uninstall it and then also uninstalled AVS which I downloaded from here accidentally when I was very sleepy but when I ran IT'S scan for the first time yesterday to see if it might fix what was slowing me down, it redirected me to it's home site at the end of the first scan when I selected "delete all" and said I must register first for a charge of $79 or $89 bucks so I uninstalled it's 3 programs too. Afterwards I'm running fine again. But I think it was the SIW that slowed me down. (Maybe they were testing a new version on us as trial users.) My advice to anyone who has downloaded it would be to copy & "save as" your SIW scan of your complete system and then uninstall it immediately, unless you know how to transfer and install the entire program on a flash drive that you can remove so it won't slow your computer down. Anyway, Whew! I'm fast again!

Same here, the program works fine. No problems at all.
Do you know what RAM you have installed? It could be that you had too many back ground programs running and the addition of SIM tipped it over. If you install a lot of giveaway programs it's likely scenario unless you've used a start up mananger like Anvir (there's a free version) to turn off programs you don't want to start when the computer starts.
I really can't think of any other reason why the computer should slow down so much (unless your Hard Drive is almost full.

My C:drive (500 GB) is almost full, drives I: & K: are full and G: is rather new and I normally have several programmes (9 at this moment) and downloads running, but I didn't notice any slowdown when SIW is working. Of course the programme needs some seconds (about 30 s) to collect all the data.

Maybe SIM is not the same thing as SIW?
A poorly head, drugged up to the eyeballs and leaving my reading glasses at the bank didn't help lol - now corrected. :)
