Our cousin in San Diego, CA called to tell us about a man in San Marcos, CA (near where we used to live), that built an 'owl box' in his yard 2 years ago that has cameras built into it. Now, suddenly, an owl took up residence, now there's a mate, her name is Molly and the male is McGee. Now there are 5 eggs that they expect to hatch any day now.. thought you might be interested. This is a 'live link' Here's the link:

copmom, my uncle sent it to me about a week ago. i have been hooked on molly and mcgee. i have collected owls since 1984 and it is great to see her taking so much care of her eggs. when i am sitting at my computer i have her on my screen also. i can't wait until the eggs finally start hatching. she has 5 eggs and they are ready anyday. he has night cam so you see it all day and night. the other day they had 10,000 viewer by lunchtime. the whole room went nuts. if you love owls or nature this is an awesome site to watch.

Yes.. she's doing pretty good for a first time mommy, and McGee is doing a great job seeing to it that she's well fed!

The first egg has hatched. Max is now going on 2 days old and another chick is expected anytime. And yes, this site is addicting.
