The following games were all created by the IndieBird’s Lair developer. Rather than post my own thoughts on the games I’ve just cut and pasted all the information available. You can find all references on the website at http://www.indiebird.com/blog/ I’d like to thank the developer for some excellent games, most of which were created over short periods usually around 7 days. None of the games have deep story lines are cutting edge graphics, but the game play element in all of these games is very addictive. Personally I’m a bit of a graphics whore. My graphics card alone cost more than my laptop which I bought last June. But I found myself really engrossed in most of the games presented below. I decided to post virtually all of the games presented on the web site, but have split them up into two helpings. Please leave some feed back if you enjoyed the games. Thanks

Pandora’s Gearbox (7.4Mb)
The game is available for PC and Mac
Pandora’s Gearbox is puzzle game where you’re trying to get a ball though a machine to the finish area. You can’t see into the machine, so you have to guess what’s inside. You have several tools that help you in your task. You can move objects that are red directly. You also have a robot with built-in sonar that can explore the inside of the puzzle.

There are 10 levels included with Pandora’s Gearbox. Level 1 is a tutorial level that should give you all of the information you need to play. Here are some tips to help you:
• You can rotate red items with the arrow keys, use this in cramped levels
• The robot can teleport to the starting area if stuck; just click on the start
• The robot can be deactivated with right-click; this is useful if you need to carry it
• Don’t be afraid to restart the level if things go wrongly
• Think logically. If you’re stuck, it’s probably because you haven’t explored all your options. The game doesn’t require crazy reflexes or luck.
Command Line Options:
You can pass various command-line options to the game to do different things:
• -nointro Disables the IndieBird logo
• -nomusic Disables the music
• -fullscreen Run the game in fullscreen mode
These options are only available on PC, Macs have in-game options to toggle fullscreen and music.

Attack of the Paper Zombies (3.1Mb)
Attack of the Paper Zombies sees a small group of marines going it alone against a horde of the undead. Each level contains a number of enemy hivse from where the bad guys spawn, and the job is to fight your way through the masses, take down the hives and capture the points, securing the area.
Along with upgradeable weapons for your soldiers, there are also structures to build that will aid your progress. Turrets provide a little bit more firepower, poison gas can take out a huge number of baddies in one go, and the teleporter can help you reach places otherwise unreachable. There's a lengthy tutorial to help you through the basics, but if you're not into being told what to do, it's pretty easy to figure out on your own.

Andromeda (2Mb)
Andromeda is my first seven day game. The player is piloting a space ship that’s being assaulted by hordes of ever-increasing enemies. There are a variety of tools at the player’s disposal, like blasters, homing torpedos and an detachable energy pike. The objective is to kill as many enemies as possible before they overwhelm you.
Be warned, the game is quite hard.
Controls:
• Arrow Keys – Steer the ship
• Space or Left Shift – Shoot torpedos if you have energy. These home in on targets in front of you.
• Left Ctrl – Shoot blasters
• Tab – Deploy/Call back StormPike
Tips
• Absorb enemy shots with the StormPike when it’s attached to you. Then use the energy you got to shoot torpedos.
• Launching the pike allows it to home in on and kill the small ball enemies. This gives you health.
• You can shoot through the Hoplite enemy’s shield if you get close enough. You can shoot around it or batter it down with enough fire.
• Launch the pike at Hoplites to kill them with one hit.
• Kill the small balls before they rebuild themseves.
Other
You can run Andromeda in full screen mode by passing “-fullscreen” parameter to Andromeda.exe. You can also run the provided .bat file.
If you get tired of the awesome IndieBird splash screen, you can turn it off with “-nosplash”. Just be sure to view it once in a while to keep the subliminal messages active.
Also, the game can be paused by pressing “P”.
