Not sure whose supposed to be posting games this week. I’ve been really enjoying my break over the past three weeks and will continue to until sometime in March. However as there hasn’t been any games posted this week I though I’d post a few just to keep the tradition ongoing. I’m still in the middle of updating G@rgoyles Free Games Synopsis. There were three months worth of games to add to the listings, so you can imagine the time involved; I’ve managed to do about half so far, though half of that is on a word document waiting to be added to the lists. I should have it finished by the time I return to regular posting.
The following games will hopefully appeal to a wide audience. The author is intending to add more levels so it will be worth returning to the site sometime in the future. Please leave feedback if you have the time. Thank you.
Cliffall: Treasure of the Lost Cave: (9.7Mb)
You're Larry, who while visiting an Indian tribe in the Amazon, has come to ask the Chief's daughter in marriage. It was a daring wish, all the tribe thought! And so the Chief decided to throw a challenge. He said: Larry, if you prove to me that you are a brave man for the love of my daughter, you shall have my blessing. Your challenge is: To bring the 3 super treasures that are within the dangerous caves inside the great mountain near our land. Larry accepted the challenge, but the tribe thought he would be a dead man. And so you set out bravely to venture and conquer honor and happiness! Have fun jumping from high Cliffs, climbing trees and swinging on vines "Tarzan style". But watch out for the many animals within the island: Their bites and stings will hurt, but you can heal your injuries by eating the fruits of the forest! The game features atmospheric and nature sound effects! Your main goal will be to find the legendary "Great Mayan Diamond" hid there by an ancient tribe. You'll also need to find the lost Ruby ring and the Golden Falcon statue, in order to gain the blessing of the Chief and marry "Akeena". You'll also earn points by collecting money bags, gold bars and precious gems!

A superb platform puzzle game.Authors Description :
"Special Agent" is a platform game that I've been working on for the last few months. This was my first joint project, with J Freude as the spriter. It was based on Apogee Software's "Secret Agent" from 1991 - this game continues the platform/puzzle elements of the original, adding more varied missions and a set of online high scores so that you can compete with other players.
Special Agent Robert has been sent to Mullet Island, somewhere in an undisclosed remote location, where the Society for the Development of Diabolical Schemes (SDDS) are setting up a base. Sabotaging their buildings will stop their efforts to introduce AOL-speak to the Oxford English Dictionary, manufacture Prawn Cocktail crisps, or give Jeremy Beadle another TV programme, among other world-threatening plans.
There are fourteen standard levels and two secret ones, each with a variety of game modes. The first one you'll encounter, Graded Mode, scores you on how efficiently you complete each mission, with the number of enemies destroyed, items collected, and so on. There is also a Time Attack mode where you're scored on the amount of time it takes to complete a mission.
All the game details are explained in the tutorial level. The default controls are the usual arrow keys to move, with S to jump, A and D to fire left/right, and TAB to cancel/bring up your objectives. If the two-button firing mode doesn't appeal to you, you can change it back to normal in the Options menu from the title screen.

We seem to be in the Classic Remake period at this time as so many are being remade and being remade very well just like "Special Agent" and this game is spot on with great colorful detailed graphics and cool music. The gameplay for this game is stealth, kill and escape with a story that in some ways classic humour. You have battle your way through killing enemies and collecting items and the pass-keys to open the new levels. Controlling Special Agent Robert is smooth and precise and the idea of the shooting left and Right with separate keys works well. This is another excellent classic remake that is a must for a download for some superb remade classic retro fun.The game was released in December 2006.

Worminator 3: (6.1Mb)
Worminator 3 is actually two games in one. It consists of all Worminator 1.0/1.1 attributes and new weapons/levels/enemies/items and other new features for Worminator 3, plus a built in level editor. The main objective is to get out of the level that you are in with as many points as possible.
The number of features that Wormionator 3 has is practically unlimited, but just to name a few: It has...* 12 Weapons including the Split Rocket Launcher and the BFG
* More than 10 enemies
* Quick Load/Quick Save
* Map
* Change game speed and dificulty levels
* Select from 11 screen resolutions
* Many different skins
* Music and Sound voulume settings
* And the list goes on and on.
There are three demos you can watch to get the feel for the game without actually playing. There is also a tutorial mode to practice with weapons and other aspects of the game.To get the most enjoyment out of this game it is strongly suggested that you read the well written Readme file included with Worminator 3.
