I'm not sure how long of a promotion this is as they're not even advertising it on their website, but an upgrade from free to paid means real-time protection and scheduled scanning and updating. To me this is a no brainer.

For all of us dummies, please explain what that means. I thought the free version did offer real-time protection since I think I got a warning once (but I may be confusing it with another program). And is it good on every computer you own in your life or only the lifetime of your current computer?

whoops apparently the promotion is over lol. sorry folks. The free version only had on demand scanning. The program should be good on any computer you own as long as you have the registration details still.
