I downloaded it. I was getting sick of all the false positives from Kaspersky and downloaded it today. It even optimizes your computer same as Norton 360. The only difference I seen in it is it does not let you store stuff online. It is a great program though and I have system mechanic too. I really wonder if I am going to keep system mechanic. Although that doesn't expire till Oct. 3, 2011.
Comcast Customers can download a program similar to Norton 360 from comcast.

That's a bit of a surprise. Comcast has been pushing McAfee Security for years! I had it for a while but removed it when it blocked just about every single access to the internet and took several minutes to even begin to boot. I was working with Microsoft on the problem and after replacing McAfee with AVG (later replaced as well), all my problems went away.
I will not have Symantec products on my machine. I have heard too many horror stories of people being literally unable to remove them - especially if the subscription has expired. I have heard of quite a few who have had to do a "destructive restore" (factory reset) to get it out of the system! I used to love Norton products but that was before he sold off to Symantec. Peter Norton Utilities were wonderful but not now!
Also, they have a habit of dropping support of operating systems a year or more before Microsoft even does!

I will tell you something. I have been using the computer since 1999 and had had my problems with Norton, Mcafee, and Kaspersky. I had problems with all of them, but things change. I was scanning my computer after I took Kaspersky off and found that Kaspersky missed a backdoor trojan! Thought my computer was acting weird. That was probably why.
Dragon it doesn't look like the subscription expires. This program looks like it was made exclusively for comcast. It even says on the thing provided for Comcast and I looked everywhere for an expiration I can not find one.
I heard stories about Avg too and it's detection rating.

@Dragonlair: For the most part, up until Norton Internet Security 2009, I would say you are completely correct about the symantec releases of Norton. They were practically worthless. In 2009, they suddenly completely redid their engine and now it loads much faster, works much better and is suddenly much easier to work with. For their 2010, they've added more upgrades to the software and now it happens to be one of the top internet security suites on the market in terms of performance.

Thanks for sharing that info, Michelle. I had already stopped using McAfee, even though Comcast gave it to their subscribers. I downloaded/installed it onto my 'dinosaur' desktop, yesterday evening. I decided to give it a try, both in resources and performance. I like how it updates on its own, unlike AVG that I am constantly having to manually update.

It even saves all your passwords and it looks exactly like this (---link is broken---they don't like direct linking---) except for a couple things such as comcast is given credit. It has on it (provided for comcast). The only thing I am having trouble with in it is the one click support. It doesn't respond, but then does respond and it didn't stop it from coming up this time.
It doesn't have none of that my account stuff. I am hoping that means this doesn't expire. I got sick of Kaspersky everyday. It was even going off at times coming here. Norton might have a few, but that had loads of false positives. If it detects anything you can send to symantec.

Sorry, Michelle, I am using Kaspersky since many years. And I feel very secure with it. It's learn-intensive; you can and should configure it after your needs. Some false positives are typical for the heuristic analysis, however after all I have heard about it, is Kaspersky less prone to it than other programmes; and of course you can send your suspicious files to their laboratory. After a short time you learn which kind of process will be recognized as malware though it is a "false positive" and then you can configure the programme, it will learn it too.
Not every alarm is a false positive, when you are getting an alarm on a secure site like this site, you should scan your system asap, because that could mean that your computer already has some malware, not related to this site.graylox

I scanned it many times with Kaspersky and it turned up nothing. You can use Norton Security Suite on up to 7 computers. More than enough for most people and then I downloaded the comcast toolbar and what that does is it gives you ondemand protection from spyware. (You have to scan your computer to detect it won't block). It is a great tool.
I use to use Norton 360 one year and found it very very good (only problem was no money to renew). This comcast deal is great. It looks like it doesn't expire. It features everything in norton 360. The only thing I think it doesn't include is the 2 gigs of storage online, but I never used it anyway. I use drivehq.com. Their free storage plan.
I know Kaspersky had it's share of false positives.
