   I am actually trying to donate to the Haiti telethon and I keep getting a busy signal. On the one hand I'm glad so many people are calling, but on the other hand it is frustrating to not be able to get through.

   I heard it was hard to get through such places..I tried through the red cross and had quite a wait but was successful in the end..

   We went through the Red Cross through an online link and made our donation without any problems. They also emailed me a receipt.

   I very much want to donate, but am afraid the money will get into the wrong hands, as does from time to time (even with the well-known national/international agencies.)

   Also, Focus on the Family has a few donation organizations listed on their website here:

   I feel sure that you can believe that %100 of your donation will go to the people who need it, and NOT just to administration people..

    OOPS! So sorry, Buckleysmom, I had absolutely no idea that Buckley is your dog - and your picture is very small and I was not able to see the image very well (not that I would have known this anyway had I seen it clearly.)

    ....and thank you very much, Face, for pointing this out to me......

    I am sure that all of you got a very big chuckle out of this....but that's okay...as I always prefer to make people laugh and not cry - so that is wonderful LOL!

    Speaking of Prince, did you know that he watched his first Vikings game (in a long time) against the Cowboys then wrote a song in tribute to the Vikings? He's not the same Prince as the one that wrote "Little Red Corvette" and "When Doves Cry" IMHO.

    Inas....Face was right.....I got a chuckle out of your question. But that's okay, you're not the first to ask. Buckley is a male and basically he is our son...or at least the closest thing we'll ever have to one....lol

    While we're on the subject of names.....Merri, what is Alianthia???

    Alianthia is just a made up name; I took the name of a tree;"Ailanthus"(which is also called the "tree of heaven" so it sounds nice but it is actually a very invasive species;

    ...the male flowers have a strong odour. The odour tends to resemble the smell of strong cat urine or the spray of a male cat. Also, touching the leaves leaves an unpleasant smell on the hands....

    hmmm - tree of Gods? In the German wiki it's even mentioned that the tree is partly poisonous - what about Merri?

    MOST trees and shrubs are poisonous...
    We have them here and they really take over; not my favourite as far as plants and trees go!
    I just liked the NAME ....AND I changed it so really it has no meaning at all...

    Oh and as far as Merri goes, as my real name is Mary, it has no significance..
