This is at least the 3rd time this has happened. All of my passwords are rememberd by LastPass, however, every once in a while (it appears to be random), my password will not work. It will say that my password does not work, no matter how many times I enter it. When I try to reset my password, it says "Password Reset", but nothing more, and no email is sent, and my password still doesn't work. After I leave the site for a while (usually 2 to 3 hours), it will work again.
Anybody else have this problem? Any ideas?
Thanks!

My password hits 100%. Are you asking about those that use "LastPass". If so disregard my post, I don't use it.

No, I don't think that it is a LastPass problem. Just wondering if anybody else has had this problem, or if its my fault :P

I'm not having a problem, but I type in my PW manually.
Can I politely suggest that you check that your saved PW in LastPass is definitely correct by clicking the Show link in the Edit Site Information dialog?
You say the timing is 'random.' Could it be that LastPass can't contact its OnlineVault at those times (perhaps because of a large antivirus update, Windoze update, or similar)? Or do you not use that feature?
Just some thoughts: hope they help.

I know my passwords, LastPass is simply a convenience, and even when I enter in the password manually, the page still comes up. I simply press the button "Forgot your password?", type in my username, and it says "Password Reset". No notice about an email being sent or anything. (I just checked (by trying to reset my password, and it did give me a notice about an email). Thankfully, being logged on here isn't really *necessary*

Hi "thenameipicked," I'm not having this problem, and I don't use LastPass. Maybe your firewall is somehow interfering with the log-in process? Just a thought.

Hmmm....It could be...the biggest problem, is the lack of reoccurence so that I can test it. I use Comodo everyday, so I'm not sure how that would happen? Its not really a big problem, I was just wondering if somebody else has had a problem, and figured it out. Now if I couldn't read the forums without being logged in...that would be a huge problem oO
Thanks for everything :PPosted 14 years ago # -
To dovetail on what you said about Comodo - I also used the Comodo Security Suite, and it does interfere with many of my attempted software downloads, and I end up disabling it temporarily until after I've successfully downloaded my programs - so it could be Comodo maybe? The firewall portion may be blocking "recognition" of the password?
I'm just grabbing at straws now, but anything may be worth considering & trying.
Anyway, I hope you are able to solve your mini problem soon.

Hi, thename, I had a similar problem now and then, I'm not using LastPass and not Comodo, it was on my old XP computer.
It helped to delete the cookies and clean the cache.
I'm not a pro but I think that cookies can get "old"; to renew them, mostly solved my problems with log-in or downloads.Posted 14 years ago # -
hmmm...both seem like possibilities. Keep this thread open, and if this comes up again, I'll try both of them, and tell my results :P
Thanks all :PPosted 14 years ago # -
I had the same problem yesterday. Today I can login. Weird. I know that it is not just LastPass (I use it too) but I could not manually login either which I should have been able to do. So any thought that people have would be great. :)

@BuBBy, are there a certain amount of attempts to login in? Lets just say 5 atempts can be made before disabling the login, if thats case and your PW manager has used them then manuelly wouldnt work until after the time out lapsed.

Well, it happened again, and once I cleared my cache/browsing history, it worked again! Thanks all!
