Right now I have a server at home that's running a LLMP stack (Linux, lighttpd, MySQL, PHP). It's not a great server (733 MhZ processor, 64 MB RAM, 8GB HDD (6 if you count the swap). I'm trying to get WordPress running on it, but it's quite slow (30 seconds per page). I also can't get into my Akismet preferences. So I'm wondering if there is anyone with some server experience who could give some points of how to speed everything up. I also have pure-ftpd and bzfs running.
Server problem - Any help?
