   Freegamepick are now giving away another Hidden Object game. This one is called Mystery of Unicorn Castle. I can vouch for this one a sI beta tested it for the developer. Though the name has been changed slightly as the original name was just unicorn Castle. Although old hat by now, the mini games that you get in between finding objects were quite innovative at the time. I still play this game occasionally. Well woth the effort of downloading, especially as its free.

   Do watch out for toolbars and home page capture. You need to uncheck the appropriate check boxes during installation to avoid them:

   With FreeGamePick games, not only do you have to watch out for the toolbars and such during install, you CANNOT use their shortcut if you have not installed the toolbar. It just won't work. You have to un-hide hidden files and create a new shortcut for "game.exe". If you don't have the toolbar, you can safely delete the "Toolbar" folder it creates during install, too. It's not much but why clutter up your hard drive with something you KNOW you don't need!

   FreeGamePick has a nerve to state that their games are without ad-ware and spy-ware.
   Ran it sandboxed just to see how it works with the toolbar and their browser.
   I rather pass on their games. :(

   The games are without adware - it's the wrapper that's not! If you avoid that and create a shortcut that works, it's fine. It just opens your default browser to their page when you end (it does not hijack your home page).

   Freegamepick have changed their policy. They used to be exactly the same a sGametop. Pity, it looks like they are going the way of MyPlayCity. :(

   I was very careful to make sure the install Ask toolbar was unchecked but it installed it anyway.

   Terri, I have never seen that. There are 2 check marks - one for the toolbar and one for making ask.com the default search engine. You have to mark both. Also, unless you make your own shortcut, the default shortcut again tries to force you to install the toolbar and just hangs if you don't.

    thanks WR! I didn't have the Unnicorn castle one(only as an ad game mohts ago from Gamehouse and had enjoyed it so it is fun to get it again)
    I will see what happens when I download it just now...

    Terri, I can see where you might have had trouble with the tool bar..
    In the first section one sees, it looks like you have to accept the license agreement which includes the tool bar.
    I did NOT check this and thankfully it went to the next screen where there was a second area to accept and I got the game with no tool bar in either Firefox(my primary browser) OR in IE.

    I installed both of the games (made my own shortcuts). Unchecked anything that mentioned the toolbar. I had no problems.
