The one thing I have found with rechargeable's, chip, is to let them almost go all the way dead before you charge again.
I use regular aa' and aaa's all the time and this has been a slow learning process, but the one that made me really understand that it really necessary was my Archos 605.
It would get to about half way or quarter drained and I would throw it back on the charger. After about 7-9 months of this I killed the battery. Oh it was a slow process were it start going dead faster or I guess would hold a charge as well. Then I would just leave it on my tv thing I have for it, so it would keep a charge to it and I could use it as a tivo.
80 dollar mistake.
I have had it for year and half now, 7 to 9 months were use. I will eventually get a new battery.

Anyway, It's 20 dollars for the station. go for it. You cant lose for that price and if it sucks, rma it.
By the way, dont do like that idiot in the review and solder the fan to the switch. The reason the reason the fan stays on all the time is to remove heat. Heat is bad.
