OK, I've got a question. At the end of Chapter 3 (Strange Pieces), the puzzle to open the door to get the next piece of Armor (Shield) is some sort of weird wooden safe combination. What is the combination? I keep ending up having to skip that puzzle (after the minimum time allotted).

One of the pieces in the Cambodian disk is where it belongs (it's the light colored one. Just rotate the others slowly until they line up with the pattern of that one. When it goes "light", you've got it where it belongs. The outermost ring has that "wedge" at the top and the inner most has the face upright. When you get it, it slides down and the hand is visible behind it.
I finally got my answer to that one mini-puzzle. The key was when a friend said that one of the symbols was the anvil. I worked it out from there so you should be able to do it, too! :)))

Use the "noctovisor" to see in the dark. If you can't see anything, or get to the item you want, always check your inventory to see if anything there might help.

I've tried everything in my inventory and still don't see anything that will help me get that bucket - please, does someone know how to pick it up?

I downloaded and activated with the code to my 5yr desktop but was unable to play properly because of memory problems, so copied it to my brand new laptop where it went just fine till approx halway through it came up with a box saying Id had reached the end of the demo and needed to buy to play the full game. I entered the previous activation code but does not work??? Was really enjoying playing this too...........

Thanks Dragonlair, Didn't know what the "noctovisor" was. I completed that and now I am stuck at the 3 wheels with the 2 guards as Lynne was (on the download page for the game). I will wait and see if the time runs out as she did and then continue on. I am hooked on HOG games and am so glad GGOTD has put this on. Thank you, thank you, thank you. We need more of them.............
copmom, you need the crowbar to lift the manhole cover to get the bucket.
gram, I got stuck on that puzzle a few times. Rather than give you the entire answer, I'll just give the hint I got - one of the three wheels is the "anvil". Now find something in the other two wheels that are related to the anvil AND a knight in shining armor! I don't want to take away ALL your fun. :)))

I had a crowbar at one point, but used it for something so it disappeared from my inventory. So now how do I get the bucket? Do I go back for it somewhere? Too frustrating.

I am stuck. I've gotten to the chasm with no bridge. There are 5 columns with 8 colored caps. What next?

Hmmmm, when reading all your questions I'm tempted to replay this game - that would be a novelty for me. I can't answer most of the questions, because I don't remember the scenes.
As much as I have understood the game, it is not possible that you could have used the crowbar or any other object for a wrong puzzle. I didn't find a glitch in the gameplay.
Best to have a break, make another game in between or puzzle with your seasonal decoration and bake some Christmas biscuits.
A big downside with this game is, that you can't switch between several places or redo just a level.

Thanks to white rabbit and his mention of the game booster, I tried the game booster and it really helps but the game needs more UMPH than my older computer can give so reluctantly I have to uninstall ...
To everyone who might be hesitant as I was, Game booster is VERY easy to understand and use; makes a huge difference.
I then got the "smart defrag" through that company and WOW my once onerous drafragging went by lickety split and it is making my computer run more efficiently(gotta love that)

This game is actually pretty cool. Aside from the fact that it tries to eat up RAM, overall the gameplay is fairly well. I liked how you can use items from the inventory to help solve levels. Now, if my computer was just faster, I'd spend less time waiting for it to load than playing it.
Maybe they could of sold more copies if they buffed up their license key system. All I could say is they do it almost the same way as Tank at the Gates. Fun fact: the Giveaway license key was actually valid for three days, probably to compensate for time zone differences. Fun fact #2: The license key program was also written in Blitz3D, not that it makes any difference.

OK.. I turned the game back on, and chose different locations in the hopes that another crowbar might be added to my tools. Now back to square one.. NO crowbar, and only need to get that bucket! On my tools there are now 4 symbols, the letters SL, a key, something called "strange device", a camera, and a telescope. Nothing to help me get that manhole cover off to get the bucket. How frustrating!
I'm on my second run now - never did that before. I hardly ever finish a game, especially not in such a short time.
And again, I didn't find any glitches, it's not possible to forget any object or use it for a wrong puzzle. Copmom, that you can't go on is a real puzzle now - LOL
Can it be, that your puter had a "black out" during you was playing and the programme could not save correctly? There are at least 2 crowbars in different rooms, but only one (the first) is saved in the toolbox.
This time I'm playing with SuperCharger, and I have to say that the game is faster:

That tool will stay on my puter, it's very small and easy to use.

While I like the game, the graphics, I have the feeling that it's not ready yet. Somewhere on the way the story-teller fell asleep - or was it me who dozed? There is not very much of a story, though it started as if there would grow a saga.
The end was even more disappointing. The game-play just stopped. Why are all the rune-stones already in the wall, only 2 to add? That was much too simple. It seems the developer has forgotten to put the last puzzles into the package, or there was no time left to complete the development because the game had to go to the market before Xmas. That's a pity, otherwise the game is made with care. A little slow, just perfect for a grandma playing with her young grandkids (if they wouldn't live 12 hours away...)

Hi Suki, sorry for the delay in replying. The last few days have been manic nd I've hardly had time to log on in between the extended sleeping, lol.
In answer to your question, it shouldn't be a problem, though if the games manager requires certain services (which I doubt it will) that are automatically shut down by Game Booster then there could be a problem.
However, that said, you can taylor Game Booster to your own requirements. What I mean by that is; you can toggle on or off all of the services which by default the application closes down. So even if BFG's manager did require a service, you can make sure that its not turned off when you use Game Booster.

I HAVE JUST COMPLETED THE GAME ALL THE RUNES WERE INSERTED INTO THE WINDOW. THERE WERE SEVERAL SMALL PUZZLES TO COMPLETE AND A FINE ENDING.

02gram09.. that did it! Thank you, thank you for telling where that crowbar is! Never thought to look further for it since it wasn't in the list of items to find! DUH! With that I was able to finally finish the game. The only problem I had was when I finished and clicked on quit, it locked up on me and had to reboot. Otherwise it was a fine game and did keep me busy! Phew!
Now I can delete it from my machine. For some reason, whenever I complete a game I don't care to replay it, maybe because I know I can already do it? Now on to another game!

Darn, even with the clue I still can't find the 2nd crowbar. There is an 'attic' on the Italian street? Maybe if I leave it for a while my eyes will be fresh and I'll spot it. Although I wouldn't mind another clue.
