This bundle is nearly as good (if not better) than the Humble THQ bundle that was live last November/December. It was only a matter of time before the big boys started to be added to these 'indie' bundles. Who wants to pay full price for AAA games when they come down in price so quick these days. Of course games like Battlefield 3 (that won loads of awards when it was released nearly 2 years ago is still a superb game, though it is soon to be superseded by Battlefield 4. That said, if you like multiplayer I'm sure there will be servers up and running for a few years yet as this is an expensive game. The Ultimate edition cost me in the region of £70 when it was first released.

Most of the games in the bundle are premium shooters such as Crysis 2 Maximum edition (not as good as the original, but still a lot of fun), Battlefield 3 and Medal of Honor all of which have superb graphics and you'll need a decent graphics card to appreciate them, there' also two horror shooters Dead Space and Dead space 3. both of these games actually made me jump out of my seat while playing. Really, if you have a nervous disposition you don't want to play those games. There are three excellent non shooter games (well two actually), though I don't count the third (Mirrors Edge) as a shooter despite guns being used occasionally. The other two games are the excellent Burnout Paradise City Ultimate Edition and The sims 3 plus a few dlc's. Pity the latter was Origin only as I have The Sims 3 on Steam, but not most of the dlc.

Even if you don't like shooters this is a worthwhile pack to get as each of the non shooting games are worth far more than the asking price. You could even give some away as gifts to your friends if you don't want them.

Even though I already have all of these games I'm still getting the bundle to give away to friends and family.

I was trying to figure out why Origin would do this, as they're not exactly hard up for dough. Then I realised it's because you're required to have the Origin software to run the games - their version of steam.

Some games have a steam key as well as Origin (Crysis 2 Maximum Edition, Dead Space 1, Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, Mirror's Edge, Medal of Honor), but others require Origin to play.

I'd long ago decided I wouldn't install Origin as I can't stand the company, but this is a really good deal and is making me wonder if I can put up with it just to play the few games I haven't purchased yet... It's probably enough to push me over the edge.

I'll probably give away the spare keys to games I don't have or don't want, so watch this space :)

If I already have a game(s) in the bundle do I have the ability to gift the extra copy in the bundle?
Unfortunately, if you already have a game in the bundle you will not be able to gift the extra games to a friend.

Please consider your bundle a "unit", and not to share copies of the games or Steam keys from it.

If you'd like to give a copy of the games away, we have a system in place that allows you to buy a gift key from http://www.humblebundle.com so your friends can have access to direct downloads as well as any Steam or other keys we have included.

I didn't realise it was in the humble terms about giving keys away, which makes sense really, because otherwise they'd sell fewer bundles.

As far as giving away keys, I thought that was ok, since it's been done before.

Anyway, I'm sorry for the trouble.

The Humble Origin Bundle is getting bigger. At the very moment you’re reading this, their team of slave-children are adding two more games into the mix, and they’re classics. Going into the record-breaking bundle are Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 – Uprising, and – coo – Populous. And at this point, Humble Bundle have revealed that since they began, they’ve raised a total of over $20m for charities in just over two years.

This bundle has been nothing short of extraordinary. Nearly 1.7 million bundles sold, and well over $8 million raised for charities, and there are still six days to go. Whatever maniacal reasoning EA may have had, calculated in their terrifying dungeon laboratories, the results just cannot be scoffed at. It seems that just about everyone is benefiting, from EA with reputation improvements and a huge new audience dragged by the nose onto Origin, five very worthy charities who look likely to get a couple of million bucks each, and us getting a bunch of genuinely good games for very little money.

You can see why this bundle is is quoted as @This bundle has been nothing short of extraordinary@, simply because of the high profile AAA games that are available; for example, I ended up paying £78 for my Battlefield 3 game because I initially purchased the limited edition version, which I'm sure cost me £49 (It included only one of the dlc's), then I purchased the Premium edition when it was on a half price sale because it was cheaper buying the game again, rather than buying all of the expansion packs as the premium version included all of the expansion packs (though not the unlockers which cost a further £20 so in total I spent the princely sum of almost £100 just for one of the games in this bundle (of course you only get the basic game on Origin.

Virtually every one of the other games included in this bundle are classic games. The comment about Medal of honor being utterly awful is rubbish. Personally I thoroughly enjoyed playing MoH.

I'm sure the majority of those buying this bundle wouldn't have normally purchased any of these games, but for the price of a cup of coffee from places like Costa coffee, you get hundreds of pounds worth of games. Even if you only play one or two of them you are still getting an amazing bargain.

I may purchase a spare bundle just to gift to friends later. :)
