Hi TNIP,
I nearly bought Majesty 2 as a pre release, but decided to wait for it to come up as a deal, partly because there were a couple more games I fancied and I wanted to save a little money towards a couple of games that were coming up for release, but didn't have quoted prices; also I though that it seems like most of the latest games eventually come up as a deal on Steam anyway, so I though I'd leave it as I always have plenty of new games to catch up on.... Seems like I was right, lol. Sorry you missed the deal; still, if you are happy with the game, the full price was probably worth it. (That's the way I try to justify all the recent deals that I've paid full price for, lol. It seems odd though that most new games are being offered at cut down prices only weeks or a few months after release. I suppose it's the economic situation we find ourselves in. It definitely wasn't like this four or five years ago. Virtually all arcade games cost £19.99 and most DVD releases didn't drop in price for at least several months or even longer if it was a block buster. It makes me question whether its worth pre-prdering any more games. They do often give extras for pre-ordering though; maybe extra content, or with steam full version games, e.g. I've got several full games for free for pre ordering games... Ledgendary, Red Faction and Red faction II, Nikopol: Secrets of the Immortals, Painkiller Overdose and Painkiller Black Edition (I have a spare copy of Painkiller Overdose that I purchased from Good Old Games, and which I am willing to give away; PM me if you're interested.), 2 of the Penumbra titles, Second Sight and Timeshift, plus others that I've forgotten)
Amazingly, only a week after release, Left 4 Dead 2 already has 25% off for the next 24 hours. I decided not to purchase Cities XL limited edition as a pre-order for the same reason why i didn't buy Magesty 2; and now its got 50% off, unfortunately I already pre-empted Steams offer and purchased it via Direct 2 Drive the other day. I had a feeling it was going to come, but wasn't sure..... (typical), though I still got it cheaper than full price so can't complain. I do wish I'd not bothered buying L4D2 though as it’s only been out for a week. Still we can't have everything. Didn’t you get the first Majesty for free for pre-ordering Majesty 2? I seem to remember it was a decent deal. I just wanted a few other games at the time. :) I’m going to get it today though as there’s 75% off.
Here's today’s deals. apparently they will be rolling over in about 20 hours to the next deals, so make sure you check it out now. :) (I managed to get to the bank today - taking a slight detour from my appointment at the hospital, which made me late, lol) and transferred more money from my savings account to my bank that I use for PayPal. :) Hopefully I’ll now have enough for the rest of the weeks bargains, though now that Txnnok's new link has opened up several more games that I'd like to buy from Meridian (such as Hard Truck Apocalypse and its sequel Rise of Clans plus The Entente - World War I Battlefields and possibly Big Rigs Europe), all of which have had their prices slashed may mean I didn't transfer enough. By the time I can get to the bank again all these deals will have finished......... Still, I'm sure they will have a Christmas special a New Years special and a Easter special, lol....... I dread to think how many thousands I’ve spent this year on Steam games alone; however I've througly enjoyed myself and as I don't spend money on any of my old hobbies any more (photography, cycling and skiing) and I don't drink or smoke (can't drink alchol due to the opiates that I have to take. One glass of wine feels like I've downed a full bottle in a few minutes, lol), I feel it's not too inappropriate to spend so much on games; especially as they are really effective analgesic; (what an excuse, lol)
I’ve just noticed one of the latest updates to Steam includes cumulative time that you’ve played each game, rather than just the time you've played over 14 days. It's not entirely accurate though as it only starts from a specific time several months ago. There are games in my list that say zero hours played and I know I spend several hours on them when I first bought them.
anyway, I'm off to buy Majesty 2.
Oh yeah great news Babo: Invasion is only £2 for the next day. Great Indie arcade game, well worth buying; especially for £2 (~$3)
Edit,
The following was added as an afterthough. As you can see the actual cost to those in the U.S. for Babo: Invasion is $2. I'm not sure about the US prices for the rest of the games, but if the quoted price for Madballs in: Babo Invasion stands for all of the other games listed below, the U.S. are going to get an even better deal than us Brit's because the exchange rate from £ to $ is ~1.5 ...... so $2 is equivlent to ~ £1.33, WOW, what a bargain. If you like the Alien Shooter or RIP games you've got to GET THIS GAME)
Majesty 2 - 75% off (£24.99 down to £6.24)
From what I've read and from all the video's I've checked out I love this game and am going to purchase it just as soon as I've finished this post. for 75% off its a steal. It was only released several weeks ago. Check out a video of game play HERE and HERE. I think its the same developer whove just released King Arthur: The role playing war game, which I also bought a couple of days ago and think is brilliant. I love these fantasy r.t.s games, especially now when they are adding extra elements like r.p.g. I bought a game that combined r.t.s. and first person shooter several weeks ago called Raven Squad, which is great. You can swap between a FPS view and a R.T.S. view with just a press of a key; which is amazing. I'm surprised these combination games weren't thought of before. (maybe they were, but the technology wasn't there) now they seem to have caught on with several recent games having such combinations. :)
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - 75% off (£6.99 to £1.74)
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is a slightly older game, but still an excellent looker. If you love anything Star wars, why are you reading this, you should be ordering the game already, lol. Check out a video of game play HERE's. The quality of the video is a little poor, but I though it shoed some different aspects to the game. The following one is a better quality video. You can see it HERE

Cities XL Limited Edition - 50% off (£34.99 to £17.49 - it's just over £20 over on D2D till Monday)
I only purchased Cities XL Limited Edition a couple of days ago via D2D. It's the best city builder game I've ever come across so far (e.g. Sim City series). The maps you can play are gorgeous and there's a massive choice of buildings that you can use to build your cities. It's not just about building a city though. You have to be able to run the city as its mayor; ensure all the services are built, keep the citizens happy, build roads to connect with other cities etc.
There is a massive multiplayer option for this game, but to join you have to pay a monthly subscription (cheap compared to some). I've always been loath to pay for this sort of game because I always though it was a bit of a rip off, but I’m actually going to subscribe to this game (It'll be the first one ever for me), but each month you get new downloadable content (DLC) such as new maps, and new buildings. For example, the first monthly DLC contains a whole range of medieval buildings, a farm a couple of new maps plus several other municipal buildings such as a school. Some of the monthly content is free to non subscribers. Also if you subscribe you can visit other people’s cities and I think trade with them. HERE's some game play footage for you to check out.
.
Dead Space - 50% off (£14.99 to £7.49)
I've not played Dead Space for a while, but if you like horror games you'll love it. Graphically its good, with decent game play; it's a futuristic horror shooter on the lines of Doom 3, but with slightly better graphics. Though I think the atmosphere in Doom 3 and it's expansion (Resurrection of Evil)are much better than Dead Space …… Anyway another bargain IMO. HERE's some game play video footage of Dead Space. :)
.
Mini Ninjas - 50% off (£29.99 to £14.99)
Not played this game, so can't comment. HERE's nearly nine minutes of video game play. looks pretty good.
.
Left 4 Dead 2 - 25% off (£29.99 to £22.49)
Although Left 4 Dead 2 only has a 25% reduction I recommend 'highly' it. There's definitely an lot of improvements over the first Left 4 Dead. for example you get lots more weapons to choose from. The weapon choices change every time you play the game, which adds to the replay value. The AI has been improved and there are more primary monsters. There are also more modes and more campaigns. It's well worth the reduced price..... ([i]Well.... even full price IMO) HERE's a video of the game play in the Swamp level.

Madballs in... Babo:Invasion - (Just 2 USD/2 GBP/2 EUR was £6.99)
Madballs is an excellent time waster. It's a top down shooter with gorgeous graphics. I posted a free version of the original game over in the games discussion forums several months ago. It's been much improved since then. I'd still pay full price if I had to as it’s great fun; for £2 you'd be crazy to miss it. :) HERE's a video of game play.
