Ah The Settle to Carlisle add on. I am very familiar with this line becasue my school purchased a station along its line at aplace called Dentdale near the Ribblehead viaduct. The station, called Dent station was in need of a lot of work as it had been closed in the mid 60's following British Rails destruction by the then governemnt.
We ran lots of fund raising events at my school and managed to get enought money together to repair the roof and convert the station into an outward bound centre.
I have purchased both the Trainz and the Railworks version of this DLC, the Railworks version (now known as Train Simulator 2013) is much better, but the Trainz version is much better value for money.
I could actually recognise the station and the house that stood nearby when I drove my imaginary digital train through the station. And following the road down a steep incline to Dent village that was 3 miles from the station, brought back memories of my time spent at the station; echoes of friends voices (I still have B&W photos taken at the time as I was akeen photographer as a teenager - thanks to my grandfather who gave me my first SLR and developing kit when I was 8 years old) I remember speeding down that hill leading from the station as a youth of 14 on my bicycle with a couple of friends and nearly smashing into a army vehicle that had a secret stash of supplies that was coming up the winding road to resupply what we believed to be a bomb shelter in case of nuclear attack - (remember the late 60's and early 70's were still overshadowed by a fear of nuclear war)
The Settle to Carlise dlc is an excellent one; well worth getting especially if you are into train sims. Choo choo!
