wanted to do but but only as a fleeting thought and not wanting to muck around finding how to go about it in the mire:
Have you ever wondered just how much of your life has been documented across your various social networking handles? As the years go by, more and more of your socially uploaded content will have been briefly enjoyed but quickly forgotten within the archives as fresh content takes its place.
However, all major social networking websites now offer you the chance to recapture and relive your entire history of previously uploaded statuses, tweets and images. Essentially, you can download a full online social history of yourself, acting as an online diary for you to reminisce over. When you back up your social networks, you not only can visit them, you can also keep records if something were to happen to your account.
We have compiled all the instructions needed in order to back up social networks, including the likes of Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Instagram.
Facebook
Accessing your Facebook archive is surprisingly easy. In order to download the entire archive, visit your Facebook page and hit the “Gear button” on the right hand side of your screen.

Choose “Account Settings” from the drop down menu.
