GooGoo has already posted details of the sale item, but it's hidden amongst a list of 20 plus other games on sale. I thought it worth a mention together with the Tomb Raider collection of 9 games (the collection doesn't include the latest version) as the latest game (Tomb Raider 2013) is a marvellous game, especially if you are into a mix of semi open world environments, beautiful graphics, first person and third person perspectives, adventure/action gaming, shooting (guns, knives & bows), platforming in 3D as well as puzzle solving. Also you can get an additional 20% off the 50% off price making a total of 70% off the usual price of £29.99!
That's an amazing £12 (approx $18) for a game that was released a little over a month ago.
Check it out over at greenmangaming HERE.
Tomb Raider Collection 9 games:
You can also get nine other Tomb Raider games from the very first one as a pack for only £9.99 (that's 75% off). Also you can add the 20% off voucher as well. To find the voucher click on the orange button to the top left of the page that says show all four deals. From the drop down menu you'll see the GMG20-XXXXX-XXXXX code. This is inputted in a discount field during the purchase process. 20% off £9.99 is basically another £2 making a total of £7.99 for nine games (Usual price for the collection is £39.99). That's less than a pound for each one. For dollar equivalents multiply the pound by 1.5 (or multiply by 3 then divide by 2 to get the dollar equivalent, or go check the didimatic site. Often the difference between UK and US prices is significant. You may be able to get it even cheaper in the US. :) You can find the Tomb Raider Collection HERE[/b]
Tomb Raider 2013:
The game is definitely not for kids under 16 years of age. There are partial nudity scenes throughout the game and the amount of blood is excessive at times. If anyone finds any of the images I've posted below offensive (no nudity included), I'll delete them on request (I've posted around 20 images and several game play videos (mainly walkthroughs so be warned spoiler alerts) I've posted so many so as to give you a feel for the game. :)
This is one of a rare breed of games that I've actually worked through to the end (I rarely finish or even get halfway through a game these days)
You can see several walkthrough videos of Tomb Raider 2013 game play (spoiler alert)HERE, HERE, [urlhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-tS4ttJrlE=]HERE[/url], HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.
Tomb Raider explores the intense and gritty origin story of Lara Croft and her ascent from a frightened young woman to a hardened survivor. Armed only with raw instincts and the ability to push beyond the limits of human endurance, Lara must fight to unravel the dark history of a forgotten island to escape its relentless hold. Download the Turning Point trailer to see the beginning of Lara’s epic adventure.
Key Features:
1) .... Smart / Resourceful Lara:
Lara must use her brawn and her brains to overcome an impossible situation. The player must guide Lara through physics puzzles, challenging environments, and a high-octane story to overcome a harrowing situation and make it off of the island alive.
2) .... Combat:
Tomb Raider is pushing the action genre forward with visceral third-person combat and a deep weapon and gear upgrade system that Lara will have to strategically employ to overcome increasingly difficult enemies and environments. If you like the Uncharted or Batman Arkham franchises, Tomb Raider’s offering will compare favorably to these high quality experiences, but with a unique Survival Action twist.
3) .... Dynamic Traversal:
It wouldn’t be Tomb Raider without certain signature elements. In addition to platforming, Lara will have to explore large areas to earn experience points that will upgrade her weapons and gear. One of the key elements of dynamic traversal is the gear gating gameplay loop: over the course of the game, Lara will continually improve her gear and will be able to reach previously inaccessible locations that will allow her to upgrade her gear and weapons even further.
Comment from Gameplanet.co.nz:
"After three hours playing the game, it's clear that no expense has been spared on this reinvention of the action-adventure series and its iconic heroine Lara Croft. No trend has been left unfollowed, either. Tomb Raider is an exhaustively complete collection of fashions in contemporary blockbuster game-making." - Eurogamer.com
"Tomb Raider appears on track to deliver a great cinematic action experience. " -
