Yes, it is a gift added to a really generous pack. Yes, I have not ask for it in the first place.
But... I think it's a not very clever strategy to include an extra for all people which is a DLC Pack for a game which is in a certain group, those who payed more than a certain amount. I admit it, I've payed less than that, but it's not the point. Now I have a useless package (in reality, it's there but it's not there, as I have no codes, no download links, whatever).
Possible solutions: 1. To not offer the package to all people, only to those who payed a certain amount. 2. To offer a pack or an extra which will be useful for all.

Wow. As I see it your options are 1)to realize that you still have all of the great stuff you bought for between $1 and $4.99 (probably closer to $1) and be happy about it or 2)increase your payment amount up to $5 and get some more great stuff (5 games & 3 soundtracks) including Men of War & it's DLC. I am very happy about this great deal!

These deals are amazing bargains, often saving those who purchase them hundreds of dollars. I'm one of those unfortunates who has purchased virtually every game from all of the bundles that have been released since the first humble bundle, but I'm still happy with my purchases. I think even at full price most of the games I've purchased are amazing things. I remember the very first computer game i ever purchased. It cost in real terms a lot more than even the most expensive games available today (equivalent to about £80). It was a text adventure and I loved it. when i compare games like Men of War, GTA IV, Just Cause II and the latest Crysis Release I'm gob smacked at the amazing beautiful and absorbing things. works of art as far as I'm concerned. Jumping into one of my favourite games ArmA II is like going into a new world, where I can wander around hundreds of square miles of amazingly life like terrain.
What you purchased for less than the average price is still a fantastic bargain. So, you've got a dlc that you can't use because you didn't pay more than $5. For $1 you will have got at least 5 excellent games, each easily worth several times what you paid for the lot and on top of that you got a load of music. Just one of those would have cost you more than a dollar.
It will have a Steam key, so you could go to the Steam forums and see if anyone wants to swap for something else. (I'd wait until the bundle has finished first though. :) Maybe sell it on eBay and get your money back ;)

Campy, WR, you're right, of course, and I'm a little ashamed for that. I've tried to explain that I was not complaining about a more than generous deal:
Yes, it is a gift added to a really generous pack. Yes, I have not ask for it in the first place.
Only to express my little criticism to a slightly misguided bonus policy. If that bonus was for gain customers for the more than $ 5 niche, fine. But then offer a bonus exclusively for that niche and wait the people to be attracted for the extra content.
As for me paying less than $ 5, well, it's perfectly legal and fine with the offer, if it weren't, it won't be offered in the first place, so I act according with the rules, I don't see anything wrong with that.Posted 11 years ago # -
lanark, nothing wrong with your getting the $1 deal. It looks to me like they just throw all of the bonuses in there. Anyway, enjoy your purchase.

OK, I'm a damn skinflint, may be. Of course you're right and I have a lot of things for almost nothing, including a DLC package of a game which may be one day I'll buy, or obtain as a gift or exchange, as WR says.
So, I have not really any reason for criticism.
My apologies to the wonderful Groupees people.Posted 11 years ago #
