A fair bit of effort is put into providing comments on the feature set, useability, stability and output of many of the programs made available via GOTD.
It would seem to be a good thing for GOTD both to show to developers and to those who comment what the actual benefit of their using the site is. e.g. with 'Skytrain's File and Disc Recovery/Eraser 6.1.5', what features, improvements, etc have resulted from the previous exposure of v6.0.2 to the GOTD audience.
As yet, I don't think I've seen any such acknowledgment of GOTD user input, which means there's less incentive for developers to offer high quality, up to date, full versions of their applications, less incentive for people to give useful reviews and that you're missing a trick in showing the value of the GOTD to both.
Just something to ponder.
