Octoberfest has now given way to Novemberfest. Buy 6 games and get one free. And this time if you buy 9 games, you get 2 free games. So much temptation! Just when I said I was going to stop buying games, they make it SO tempting.

MemberI'm already on my way to six. I'll probably have nine by the end of November given the deal of the day promo. I'm still new to gaming so I've WAY too many good ones to choose from and be tempted by. Sounds like BF might be making a mint with these deals.

Michelle, BF is including the free one from Octoberfest towards the total for next promo; as well as the sale ones for those who are interested (return to ravenhearst @2.99 and unwell mel @ .99 for now) and then the deal of the day selections. It's games for less than half price and then you're given a free one. For those who want to load up, it's pretty good because the out of 30 deal for the days, there are enough good options for most.
The gamehouse deal sounds good too. Can you buy as many credits as you want to double?

I'm on the fence whether to get back into this. Today's Deal is Abra Academy which is OK and I probably wouldn't buy it otherwise but since it goes toward a free game, it might be worth it. I wish they would tell us what they will offer for the whole month so we could see if there are enough we want to buy to make it worthwhile. Last month I wound up with 3 birderline games that I never would have purchased if not for this promotion.

MemberI'm sticking with the 'fest promo, I think there are still enough days to find some good ones- at least possibly. If not I'll end up purchasing a few I've had my eye on before Dec. 1st.
I already have 5, including sale price Unwell Mel and a daily deal...I also used one of the old sponsored free deals and picked up Majong towers of Eternity, to count as one! ;) Add the free one from octoberfest and I paid full for one (using my game club credit) so far.
I couldn't get Abra because it was the Japanese version for most of the day; and then when they couldn't fix it, the daily deal turned into Apple Pie which is kind of a weak match 3, imo. I kind of regret not going for yesterday's Animal Agents as the game looked crisp and new compared to a lot of the older Daily Deal offerings. Today's deal doesn't really interest me and seems to have a lot problems for others.

MemberTry buying Animal Agents today with the code. It usually stays active for a few days. I'm still on the fence about it myself. I kept getting stuck on the demo with 1 object I couldn't find and no hints left. I had gotten it a long time ago from Gamehouse and deleted it. I don't want to get into buying borderline games again just to get to the 6 or 9.

MemberI just purchased it with the 2.99 code :) and good to know the codes are good for a couple of days. Animal Agents has had some probs for some, like the mislabeled objects. That doesn't bother me in games like The Mysterious City: Golden Prague or Cairo. It's just an added challenge, lol.
They switched out this mornings' Daily Deal -again-, the Three Musketeers, for something else. It looks like there might have been tech difficulties, I didn't see any announcement. They're getting a little whacky with the deals lately. Maybe they should stop scrapping the bottom of the barrel!

MemberTalk about scraping the bottom of the barrel, Gamehouse's free game today is 5 Spots. They had 5SpotsII a couple of weeks ago and BFG had 5 Spots as a $2.99 one about a week ago. Don't mean to offend anyone who loves this game but I uninstalled 5SpotsII after about 10 minutes. I found it very childish and boring.

MemberI haven't downloaded a free game in quite a long time. I do use Realarcade and like it. Soon Realarcade and Gamehouse are going to be one site on gamehouse.com and the people that have gamepass are going to be moving to gamehouse.com and they will receive two games instead of one for $9.99. http://www.realarcade.com/gamepass/promotions
The $2.99 promotions that Bigfish has are good if you like the game. The games that Gamehouse has with advertisements might not be good but at least they are free.

MemberOh my god I love Real. I got two free funtickets today + a coupon code for a free game. Though the only thing I don't like is it looks like you have to use a fun ticket before you can use a coupon code.
Everyone sign up for gamepass while you still can. I have a feeling you'll like it a lot better than Bigfish. I would rather get two games for $9.99 than one for $6.99 and if you get extra games it will only be $6.99 and not the $9.99 or $14.99 that gamepass members use to pay.
This month I will be getting 5 games from Real. 3 of which were free and the 2 for $9.99 so this bigfish promotion doesn't really sound all that good to me. I lost a game in the move Five Card Frenzy and that game really meant a lot to me, lol not. I only got the game because it was on sale the other year.
Realarcade (gamepass) now gamehouse.com is way better than bigfish and you can still sign up for gamepass it looks like. If you plan to you better do it soon, because this offer will be gone forever.
Lol, I think they don't want people canceling.

MemberMaybe that is why BFG is having these free games promotions - to keep customers away from GH/RA.
Oh, I found out the hard way that BFG has its own cache and doing a Disc Cleanup on your PC doesn't clean it out. You have to contact them to find out how to empty it every 50 downloads or so. I actually had some games disappear off my computer because the cache was so full. It would be nice if they told you about that ahead of time.

MemberReal has free game promotions too and they also have a free game a day giveaway (has advertisements though) the only bad part. One time I received a free game coupon code off Bigfish, (but it really wasn't nothing since I don't think Bigfish gives you trials). Real did, I had a bunch of gamepass trials. I think they stopped that every 90 days after you cancel. I think too many people were taking advantage of that. I was one of them at one time. Now I can't cancel, because if I do gamepass will be gone forever and I'll loose that extra game a month.

MemberUnless they've changed things you will find it somewhat of a hassle to cancel a GamePass subscription. You have to call a phone number they provide, whereupon you get someone who most definitely doesn't speak your language very well, and it can be difficult to figure out what they are saying and vice-versa. I encountered an email address problem because of that and had to quickly create a new Yahoo account so I could access my GP account. The one good thing that I experienced with the phone cancellations was they kept giving me free membership extensions for a few months. The bad thing about that, though, is having to remember to call before the month is over, so they won't charge you again.

MemberI never had a hassle canceling Gamepass. I always canceled online and never had a problem canceling online.

Gamehouse is Realnetworks, I download from gamehouse but they usually never have a game I like given free with advertisements. Realnetworks own gamehouse. I think they bought Gamehouse in 2004. I think I read it on gamehouse.com, but now can't find it on gamehouse. I forget where I read it on gamehouse.com.
They didn't give me two more funtickets. I was hoping they would have. So I only got 2 funtickets + a coupon code. Oh well, I don't want the person who gave them to me getting in trouble.

This one was done differently . You download the game first. (It will be found on the HOG page.) It's easy to find. Then you go to your BFG games and click on buy now. It will take you to the page where you enter the code. Then it will prompt you to download the game again. It won't really download again, but it will activate the game. I hope this works for everyone.

MemberI was just going to post this free deal. I wish they'd discount MCF: Prime suspects instead for once. It seems all the others in the series go on sale or are given away at times but that one. I didn't even know that one existed until recently because of that. :p
Terri, WOW, thank you for sharing this information! It's difficult to imagine why BFG doesn't mention that on their help/solution page at the very least! It boggles the mind. I sent an email to their CS and got the download link for their cache cleaner before it happens to me. I hate even the idea of anything clogging or slowing down my HD too.
