Sweet thanks, Cool now if we can just find links to rest of their software.lol
It seems they're planning a new WinX DVD Author version early next year and this way they're hoping to get some valuable feedback to improve their current version .
Thanks for the heads up andet1.
Yea it is some sort of promotion. I accidentally, the installed trial version of winx dvd ripper instead of the one . It was way different.
ya'll might try out your copies. I couldnt get mine to see my dvd burners. I have a pioneer 2920Q and a cheapo LG.It did ok on everything else-pretty simple, but ok- not like power director 7 ultra. that has a ton of features, but is a pain to use. I kind of prefer the easy ones.
FYI - as of right now (11/02/2009 7.57am Pacific Standard) Softpedia still has the DL for this available - they have yet to remove it. Just Google WinX DVD Author.
Thanks for the heads up, I just installed it. Its still the 1st where I am at. It still doesnt work right though. It just will not pick up my burners.
That being said, this program has some great potential. I purchased TMPGEnc Authoring Works 4 not to long ago to create my divx discs and secondly to create dvd discs.
Winx author works similarly to it, by creating and audio file and vob files like a regular dvd. I didn't get a chance to burn winx's, but tmpg's are crystal clear possibly because of this separation.
I was thinking winx programming might be based off of old ide type programming and my system uses ahci-sata, so although the burners are plugged in, they might not be seen unless they are running.
or winx author programming is just a piece of junk. I'm gonna try to use the audio and vob files when I get some discs and burn them with tmpg and see if that works and the to see the quality of the production.
oops, its actually the 2nd. guess I lost more than a hour.
