I found this a little while ago and just installed it, so it works.
I don't much about it, but I was wanting something new to try with Windows 7 than the old tried true Iobit giveaway.

IObit Security 360 will use 14MB of memory when it is idle. Running a scan will used more memory – 79MB.

The quick scanner of IObit Security 360 finished scanning in 4 minutes and 33 seconds and it able to scan 58,990 objects. What is interesting is when I let it scan the system drive, it finished in 16 minutes and 55 seconds but it only reported to scan 14,403 objects. I proceed to change the default settings by un-checking the box before “scan executable files only”. The program is able to scan 102,760 in 34 minutes and 58 seconds.

Real-time Protection: The real-time protection of the program failed to stop any of the malware files while transferring and24 out of 50 on-demand scan result storing from removable drive to the system drive. This means the real-time protection of IObit Security 360 is very poor.

On-Demand Scanner: I test the malware scanner of the program but it only detected 24 out of 50 positive malware samples. IObit Security 360 successfully quarantined the 24 malware. I changed the scanner settings to scan all files (by un-checking the box before “scan executable files only”) but the program continue to not to detect the remaining 26 malware files.

IObit 360 scan Time Elapsed 8.27 sec Full scan 35.38 sec 77634 objects scaned

Test ok for me as most take 2 to 3 hours to do full scan

Well, The beta has ended I guess, cause it has changed to freeware. On the website they claim it has advanced virus,rootkit,etc removal. The strange thing is one time I checked out the forum to report something, but it seemed all the were interested was scan times.

I use it for quick removal of junk files and firefox files. It does a pretty good job at that and its fast. It also puts that block for certain known bad sites on your browser.

Well, I have officially changed my mind about iobit 360. It managed to catch a piece a nasty malware that Kasp. 2010 missed and that Asquared missed.

This doesnt mean I'm gonna trust in favor over the other two, but as a backup I dont mind it being there. Oh Advanced System Care Professional missed it to.

I forgot to save the web page, but it got like 20 hits on virus total. It was probably a false positive that the heuristics of the other malware programs hit on. I still quarantined it anyway. It was a patch in my Cyberlink Powerdvd.
Still runs just fine.

Wow,didn't see that one coming!!

When I read your post I was thinking it was a licensing issue at first till I clicked over and read the posted. Flat out thievery. they just dont care over there, but dont be to critical. We are running on a thieved systems.

Remember it was a nerdy little guy with glasses that went over there,Might have been japan, and took a program called apple and rewrote it to a new operating system called Windows.

Although, he did change the programming, straight out copying with just changing the file name is to much.

That's what I get for getting a patch not from the site to. At least it was contained.

Well, if had Malwarebytes engine thats probably why it was doing good.

It never found it with the free version, just when I used the pro version. I was testing the difference in junk found,
I didnt think their was a difference between antimalware scanners though.

Apple asked Gates/Microsoft to write some aplications for their new "PC" called Lisa:-)

I know both MalwareBytes' Antimalware and IOBit Security 360 as I beta tested them.
IOBit failed many tests, I submitted some bugs to IoBit and this company ignored them.

MalwareBytes' Corporation has many security related experts (Like Siri, MisteryCFM and nosirrah etc etc etc etc) and above all is a serious company;-)

I actually purchased Iobit Security 360 pro. It is a very good program - has more features than its sister-program, "Advanced System Care", which I also have. Both are by the same developer.

fortunately I got in on the pro code for free, but I still use it regardless of the supposed issues above. They would have to copy the program word for word for me to get very upset. I don't care for plagiarism. People work hard just to have their work stolen with out being compensated for it.
But like when you were in school doing a report. You read read the information and rewrite it to your benefit is not plagiarism. Though I think they had some word for definitions in there. maybe they should have put quotes around it and referenced their source material.lol

back to the subject. 360 is fast, it is safe, and the pro version offers protection. I think the free does to-the immunize

I use it in conjunction with Advance System care Professional + iolo's System Mechanic and they keep my machine screaming.

you know its funny, it takes all of them to find all the crap that programs and web pages leave behind. Sometimes I still find stuff looking around.

Oh and if y'all are wondering if Tuneup Utilities 2010 that you here about is any good, no save your money, it sucks. The 2008 and before were good, but they really blew it. It's all Automated for the most part and has no very few features.

One thing I hope everyone keeps in mind is that this is a very complex issue, not just from a technical and legal perspectives, but from cultural and perhaps even geopolitical ones as well. I believe Malwarebytes is an American company and IObit is a Chinese one. As such, it very possible that IObit's employees do not communicate as effectively as people who are native English speakers. If you are a native English speaker and reading this, think about how difficult it might be for you to respond to message in Cantonese or Mandarin.

I removed IoBit Security 360 when still in Release Cadidate, I translated it into my native language (Italian), they are using my language file and they "awarded" me with a non valid license, I subitted a lot of bugs which never they fixed, I tested it with some samples of known rogueware and IS 360 failed.

As a conseguence I left their forum and I promised their mediator I would never come back IObit forum again.

I had been a MalwareBytes' AntiMalware beta tester and I'm still a proud member of MalwareBytes' Corp forums.
Marcin Kleczynski is a gentleman, a security expert and a very skilled person.

Really you got in Malwarebytes? I wished I would have. I have never used it, but have always thought very highly of Malwarebytes.

I got in on Lavasoft Beta and Bitdefender Beta. Lavasoft,I am proud of, but Bitdefender is another story. People actually have the two mixed up. Bitdefender they think highly of and its a piece of garbage and not all but alot people dont like Adaware and its quality software, that improves each year.

This year they added heuristics to adaware's free scanner. There is no antivirus, they still make part of the pro/plus-paid option.
It didnt work,yet, but I got on to the programmers hard this year to put notes in when the scan ends. Right now it just says cookie found here and gives and a recommended option. You have to be an advanced user to know were the log is to find were the infection is located.

that's funny,that first link you posted is exactly what I said in other post or close to it.

I don't blame Malwarebytes for being ticked, i would be to, but they are going about the wrong way. They need to be quite first, one article in a computer magazine would have been OK. But they should have gone through the proper local channels and the proper Chinese channels and if that didn't get Iobit to stop they could then file suite.

I guess they could have already, but I don't see them saying they have done anything like that. Right now they remind of a kid throwing a temper tantrum cause they don't get their way.

I feel like I'm in class and they got mad cause the kid behind them was copying their paper, so they hollered at teacher, teacher he's copying me. In this case the teacher would be the news.

Is part of a middle age crisis having flashbacks of childhood? Just wondering if it is starting. I do have the urge to go buy an expensive sports car.

Thanks hotdoge, I hadnt looked for a Iobit reponse yet, but I knew that they would eventually.
I think you maybe misunderstanding the tone between leofelix and my posts. We are not attacking Iobit at all. We are defending Iobit, while looking at from the point of from their competitor.
I am disappointed in Malwarebytes behavior.

Oh question about the toolbar one. Did they make a toolbar for the 360?

There is no such thing as an “international copyright” that will automatically protect throughout the world. and same for patent as well.
But you can not send out of China by wright only for in side,
Malwarebytes behavior. is right as they stole not just some most of it,
IoBit stole MalwareBytes' Antimalware database and intellectual properties if you like to see click the links up top and see.

You really cant compare the two, Avira is an antivirus.Malware and Spyware are not the same things.
I'm in a hurry today or i'd explain it better. google both those together

copy and paste this exactly, what is the difference between antivirus, malware ,spyware
or just the two - difference between antivirus and spyware , malware and spyware

That Adaware one does look like adaware, a bit hacked up up, but it would pass if you didnt know any better.
