Since yesterday I can't read my PMs.
I get the information that I have got a new message but the new PMs are not displayed.
I can see my messages only by clicking on the link, sent to my email account - but these mails always arrive with some delay.
So, if anybody is waiting for an answer - this time it's not my laziness but a glitch of the system.
WR complained about it too. It would be interesting to know who else is hit by this bug.
The GOTD-"admin" is already informed.

It appears that (for example) if you can display 20 PMs per page in your inbox - it will only display 20 in total (it will not populate a second page of PMs). The problem is, the PMs displayed are only the 20 oldest, so anything new will not appear.
So you just need to delete some old ones - to have the new messages appear. Simple, huh?
Except there is no option to delete a PM... *Doh*
But, you do recieve an email when someone sends you a PM - and it contains a link to the 'hidden' PM. It's not really a 'good' solution, but it will have to do until someone can fix the problem.

Yeah, you're right, after I have deleted one of my old love-letters I got a new one by return. Nice :)
The trick with the email works, but with some delay. When I get a PM the notifying email will sometimes come hours later. OTOH when I send an answer this is directly in my email account. I don't understand that logic - LOL.
I'm quite sure, out there in cyberspace is someone who is able to fix the glitch.

The way things are right now,people might start to think this PM facility is just a big illusion if it takes forever and a day before an 'urgent' message gets read.
Not to mention people getting edgy about it.
But I'm sure someone will fix this so we can have a multipage display just like the forum has.
Right now you have to be logged in into the forums before clicking on the link in your email.Otherwise you don't see the message in the PM box (20+) ...
It would be nice too to see if a PM is read, as it used to be...and have that big "1 new message " again.
My 2 cents...preparing for hibernation.LOL.

lol, I only just figured out about deleting my PM's the other day. It's a little annoying as I like to keep my PM's for reference. I've still to answer at least 10 of the messages i managed to uncover by deleting posts. Anyone that's PMed me over the last few weeks and hasn't received a reply, you'll get one eventually. :)

The team found a new way to prevent us from too many PMs:
"Either your outbox or the recipient's inbox is full.Back to Giveaway of the Day Forums."
Got that notice today as I tried to send a message to Mr. Administrator. Didn't know that I have an "outbox".
Aside of this joke, it is annoying me that I cannot see, if my messages are read or even reached the recipient not everyone gives a short reply :(, and the name of the recipient is not always displayed under "Members".
So, if somebody is missing an answer from me - maybe it's the system and not my laziness.
