I downloaded and activated KeyWord on the day it was offered free. I played it for quite some time. The next day it wouldn't load or play. I get a popup window that says
FATAL ERROR: Invalid Command Line Param: Files\Keywords\Keywords.exe
Can anyone tell me why the game worked/activated initially but won’t work now? I liked it very much. I haven't had any problems with any other games so far.

No, I didn't move it. The .exe file is still under programs/keyword/....exe
I tried running it fron the desktop icon, the startup programs button and from within the game folder. It still doesn't run. I get the same error, every time. Unfortunately, reinstalling it isn't an option or is it. Since it was activated during the day it was free?

What are you asking me for? I had trouble finding this post again...LOL!
Okay,..go back to your Startup folder and check the properties of KeyWords.exe to ensure it is still pointing to the correct file location. If there is an error, make the changes and save them, then run the game.
If that was not the problem, the simple solution is to go to your installation (Game) folder, uninstall Keywords from there, reboot, then reinstall the game without going through the activation process.
Remember: Don't re-activate or you will be stuck with a trial version.
That should fix the problem for you.

Thank you for your help. I couldn't find my other post either. I asked for help in the comments section too. Do you mean the game folder in program files or the unzipped folder that I first used to install the game? Do you mean delete the game files from the program files game folder, or run the uninstall that is sometimes in the program folder or use the windows add/remove program? I'm sorry to be such an idiot. I thought if I uninstall the game I lose it, if it isn't on the same day?
With your help I messed around with the game and came up with following fix I've had to use each time I play game. But at least I get to play Robin games. They're great!!! Lots of fun!
I did the following: I found out how to work around my problem. I go
to Run, type in cmd, press enter. This opens a DOS
window and I navigate to the KeyWords folder and the
game works.
Then I found another way to run the program:
I right clicked on the desktop icon, go to properties,
then on the Shortcut tab click on Find Target, right
click on the exe file click run as..., uncheck protect
my computer and data from unauthorized activity, click
Okay and then the game plays from the desktop icon
again.
I don't understand why it works. Is my windows corrupt? One day I got some windows notice about something called DEP that protects programs from hackers. Is that the problem. Thanks for help Wolven!

DEP does not protect you from hackers.
White hat, black hat hackers I think not, I don't use it, has a problem with some codecs.

If you wish to disable it properly then, only on xp
right click my computer, properties, then advanced, under start up and recovery hit settings, settings, then edit, copy and pasted the code below (in between dotted lines) after removing the previous code.

Lee - XP Home or Pro in the instruction?
penroze - I was referring to the folder your game installed to. Don't know whether Add/Remove would delete the reg key (I have never bothered checking...D'Oh!), but I know that you can safely uninstall from eg.,program files/games/keywords/unins000 should you ever need to.

The sciprt has the clue.
I get your point, forgot there was a home edition, been that long since XP was released.
So I guess changing professional to home should be correct for home users.
Reason I decided to edit it sometime ago as my downloaded videos would cause a crash, so turned off DEP and they never crashed again, it was explorer crash not BSOD.
