you'll find that article was 'cherry picked' for the sensational aspect.
the 20 hours quoted was for a system with a HUGE amount of data and represented the 'worst' case for doing that kind of upgrade... tho the journo that wrote the article did'nt point that out.

well he did said on it's 650GB of data that is big my 3.1 hard-disk is only 40 MB
The best that users can hope for is a 1 hour and 24 minute,
The medium user profile, for example, assumed 70GB of data and 20 applications; the super user profile, on the other hand, contained 650GB of data and 40 applications.Clean installs, on the other hand, were much faster
