I just found the old thread I was looking for and added it to "My Favorites" but what does that mean? Is it on this site or on the "My Favorites" list on my IE? And what does clicking on RSS feed mean?

It's in your favorites on this site. If you click on your profile, you'll see a list of all your favorite topics. The RSS is a way of keeping up to date with your favorite topics without actually having to come here. You can use an RSS Reader program to keep up with all your favorite sites.
