To all community members who have purchased Killing floor - The first wave of Killing floor maps are now available for download. The three main winning entries look awesome. You can download 60 maps in total, which will give many many hours of new game play. I'm still playing the latest addition to KF from about a month ago, so these new maps are going to take some time to explore. The final wave of the competition ends in October 9the date has been extended. We should see even better maps from the second wave. from what i've read, maps from the first wave can be reentered so long as new content is added. Follow this link for the download links to each map:

hmmmm someone should make a universal file for all maps involved instead of having to download each individual one. hmmm something to think over...*ponders the possibility of doing such a thing

Yeah, i agree. I got bored after downloading the main winners plus a few runners up. lol
Will get around to the others eventually.

I am considering creating an InstallPad (ability to download all files with one program) for these maps. Is anyone interested other than Stephen?

Hi guys, I don't have the game, so I went to check it out. I believe this is every map in 'Wave 1'. It's at the top of the page WR posted above. They must have added it since you were there last.

Thanks for the heads up on that Bently, I was just about to start compiling lol. Although I would have seen they uploaded a map pack since last checking. The map pack has always been there, but they didn't have a link to it on the front. I thought that was pretty odd considering there are 60 maps.

Hi Bently, thanks for the link. It wasn't there when I started downloading them. Thankfully I only downlaoded the first 6 mps.
They are really easy to install (though it has to be done manualy).
i've so far only checked out the winner and runner up, Waterworks and Filths Cross respectively. Personally I think the runner's up map (Filths Cross) is better, but I can see why they chose Waterworks. It has a little more eye candy, but Filth's underground rail station is really good (IMO). And both are almost (but not quite) as good as the default maps. Of those the recent addition of the Foundry is my favorite. Filth has three maps in the top 10 entries and also gave the winner advice on building his winning entry Waterworks. I can't wait to see the second wave of maps which will probably be released near the end of October. :)
I'm also looking forwards to exploring more of the other released maps when I have time. I'm still trying to keep up with my recent purchases, so am finding it difficult to find time, lol.
If you like FPS with a difference I highly recommend you get Red Faction Guerilla, or the racing game Need for Speed: Shift, or the time travelling FPS Darkest of Days. all three are superb games. Next Stop Heroes over Europe, Raven Squad and Batman: Arkham Asylum. :)
