Just Curious why none of my comments are

Yea.. I think it has something to do with being logged in the forum here. If you log out of the forum here and make a comment in the comment section it'll post. But if you're still logged in, none of your comments get posted there. Dunno why... tis just so.

It has happened to me - and I've found it shows that in the comment section I am logged in as "." and my comments appear as from "Anonymous". If I sign out from the comments section I can specify my name and email address, and the comments appear properly.
It looks like a bug that has been around for some time yet - ideally you want to sign in once and have an account for both program comments and forums at the same time.

Not all of my comments have been posted either. I believe the team is editing the comments even though they aren't stating they do. That is why some mornings you don't see all the "yeah! first comments". Because someone deleted them. Don't ask me how they pick and choose comments, and some of the things posted are personal attacks.

I wish they would delete all of the "first post" entries. Leaving the posts there only encourages them. And the people who post "hmm nice" or "I'll have a look at this" in the first minute of the giveaway.
I'm sure they haven't even read what the product is or does - they just are trying to be the first gimp to post. If it's the biggest contribution they can make to the GOTD community, perhaps they would be better off staying in bed.

Guys, let me clarify the situation:
some comments are treated by built-in filter as spam, I've checked out spam folder, found some of your comments and restored them, so you can see them now.Regards,

Oh I see. Is there keywords that causes them to be tossed into the spam?

I guess that only developers of Akismet module (from Automattic) can describe its algorithm of spam filtering, but it's stated that Akismet's logic is based on some kind of global spam statistics being permanently accumulated by Akismet's database from lots of blogs and forums all over the world.

Alex,
Is it possible to set a rule or filter that treats regular posters to a more forgiving spam filter, or just avoid testing for spam, once the user has made 20 non-spam posts (for example)?
The idea that a regular who makes lots of non-spam posts isn't likely to suddenly start spamming.

Bubby,
we have taken some actions, I guess now regular posts will not move into the spam folder anymore.Regards,

I never had a problem commenting until today and I think your filter has just eaten my comments, which was disappointing to say the least
