You guys will love this software. Its called Bumptop. In a short sentence, its a Intuitive 3-D desktop replacement. I will never be able to give if up, now that I have it. I can grow, shrink, move, collide, hang, throw, pile (by folders, stacking, or lassoing), rename, sort, fan out, flip through, and gridalize my icons, pictures, and anything else! I can create a frame that will rotate my pictures, throw stuff to a facebook, twitter, or email icon to automatically upload it there, literally throw stuff to the recycling bin, theme it all, oh, and add in one of the best interfaces ever. No drop down menus. Its all done with right and left clicks, and these genius circles.

I will say it does use up memory (16K on my machine at the moment, but I have sticky notes, about 50 icons, and some pictures up). You won't want this program if you don't have much to spare. It also takes 30-45 seconds to launch...but thats better than windows :P (Its better than windows in many ways.)
PS...as a side note, I can't get this to work, but it apparently can do this for opening folders and such.

Wow, sounds really cool. I love software that can enhance your desktop. I'm constantly changing mine; partly because I'm always staring at it, lol.
Thanks for the link
regards
Whiterabbit
I may even go for the Pro edition if I like it. :)

I'm hoping for it to be a giveaway... anyway for you to "hint" the admins that this would be a good software?

Look neat, namei! Tho my desktop is such a mess (both of them) I fear I might make it worse. 8-o

Here's a very similar program called 360 desktop:
In this one, you can have 3-4 desktops with all kinds of stuff saved on each. You could have one designated to be your gaming desktop with all your game links, or one to be your media with all your videos and pictures. You can flip from one to the next. =)

Thanks Wizzard,

Midori, on making you desktop a mess...it actually does the opposite. I have 4 walls, each categorized, and then I can have stuff on my desktop too.

I hear ya, namei... I'll give it a try. And yours also, wizzard! One problem I have with the windows desktop is when I have to manually change the resolution for certain games. Then when I get back, all my "arrangements" are askew. Grrrrufffy! :-D

I gave it a whirl but it felt really cramped and kind of claustrophobic.. I think I'd prefer a more straight on view of the back wall instead of the desktop dominating, especially with the picture frame options- you could hardly see them. I know he said it's really intuitive and is easy to organize your desktop, but it just made a mess of mine. Leaves a ton of stuff when you uninstall it too, be sure to use Revo Uninstaller if anyone doesn't like it.

Bently, I'm not sure if this is what you want, or if you even still have it installed, but if you go into options, and click 'infinite mode' it will clear it up. Secondly, I find that making stacks by type, and changing size by importance helps a lot.

Yeah, I tried infinite mode but it kept wanting to put all my icons in the middle of the desktop, which isn't really helpful. It wouldn't show my desktop image in that mode, either. I tried stacks by type but I think I had 8 or 10 different stacks and, again, they were piled across the middle of my desktop with no obvious way to move them to one side, without it making the desktop look funny. I suppose it just wasn't rigid enough for me.
