Gravitron has already been posted previously as part of the free games project, but I couldn't find it in the synopsis nor the games forum, so thought I'd repost it. It's a simple retro space shooter, with neon like line drawings. It's vaguely similar in game mechanics to that game we were given early in January, called Vega, where you had to control a moon lander using rocket jets. Gravitron has a similar control, though instead of picking up cargo and dropping it off, you are shooting gun emplacements, and picking up fuel reserves etc. The game does require some skill at maneuvering the Gravitron space ship because you have to keep your thrusters firing regularily to maintain heigh above the planets surface; taht in combination with manouvering and shooting gets quite complicated unless you are very adept at using keyboard controls - it's a pity there was no joystick control because that would have made flying the craft much easier (imo).
There's a commercial version called Gravitron 2 which takes the concept a little further, with some improvements to the graphic.
According to the blurb, Gravitron is a vector shooter inspired by Thrust Extreme

Here’s a different version that hasn’t been posted before called Gravitron X:
Gravitron X (34.8Mb)
This game is from the same developer that created a game I posted over the weekend called Invasion. This one is a flight simulation game. You must complete over 30 missions using your space ship. Gather scientists, destroy enemies and be careful because they fight back.
