   I downloaded quite a few of the Wondershare softwares and only used 'em once. I am trying to free up space by deleting unused programs.

   None of the wondershares have a needed uninstall000.dat file I have the .EXE but not the .DAT, so can't properly dispose of things...

   How to fix this???

   You don't say whether you have XP or Vista. I have Vista and Wondershare programs show up under Start>Control Panel>Programs and Feature>Click on Wondershare _____>Click on Uninstall button that appears once the program to be deleted is selected below.

   Or Start>All Programs>Wondershare>"name of wondershare program">uninstall "name of wondershare program"

   In XP: Start>Control Panel>Add Remove Programs>Select Program name etc.

   Uninstall.dat shows up in my Wondershare folder. Maybe you have system files hidden on your computer. Turn Hide System Files Off by going to Start>Click on Classic View>Folder Options>View Tab>Show Hidden Folders. Then you should be able to see your hidden .dat files.

   Hi,NorCalHrrs, I hardly dare to suggest Revo Uninstaller Freeware as everybody seems to know and have this program; anyway, did you try it? But be cautious and check what it will delete.

   penneddragonone, I have XP, I also know how to use the control panel to Add/Remove software, I also have tried to use Cleanse Unintsaller that I got here. Since there is NO uninstall.DAT file the uninstaller programs won't work...

   NotBlocklox, I do not have Revo, but I DO have Cleanse Uninstaller and TuneUp Utilities 2009 and neither of them will work because the required uninstall.DAT file is missing. Will Revo work without having the uninstall.DAT files??

   Hi NorCalHrrs

   You can use the 'hunter' mode of Revo and drag and drop any shortcut from your start menu to it (or even the main.exe file from your program folder).

   After skipping an error message (!) from Revo ,it scans the registry and the hard drive for files that are 'left over',and it gives the option to remove them.
   But be sure to check the suggested files first.

   So yes,you should give RevoUninstaller a try.
   :)

   But,if you still have the Wondershare setup files I would advice to ...reinstall the program.
   This way you will have an unins00.dat and you can run any Uninstaller you want.

   Revo first looks for a programs uninstall file, and uses that IF it's available, and then gets rid of everything else connected to it.

   Robert, once the activate program has run, it can't be re-used/re-installed as the giveaway is no longer valid beyond the day it was given... So why would anyone KEEP the install pkg??

   I had never heard of Revo, and it has worked very well....

   Good to hear you discovered that little beauty called RevoUninstaller too...
   As to your question,it all depends on how the sw was offered.
   For instance, Friday's Wondershare offer had a separate activate and setup.exe.
   So once you have installed/activated within the 24hours limit,chances are (in this case)you can do a repair job.
