Today's game is called Coaster Rider. Coaster Rider is very similar to Line Rider in that you have to draw the track for the coaster to ride on. The whole point is to collect all the stars on a single level by weaving your way around floating islands and reaching the finish line. In later levels, there are little portals that your coaster will go through to speed them up. It's much harder than it seems. I played around for about a half hour on level two trying to get it to work but never could lol. I kept missing just one star. The game is highly addicting, though, which is why I spent so long on one level. If you've got a steady hand, then you should excel at this game.
The graphics are nothing special but they don't need to be. The sounds are nice in that it actually sounds like a roller coaster. The controls are very simple. You use your mouse for everything. Left click to draw/erase and hold down right click and drag to move around the map. Once you are done drawing your track, simply hit the play button at the top to see how the coaster fares. If it doesn't work, you can simply hit the stop button to correct your error or the x button to delete the whole thing.
There is a level editor, but it is extremely sparse in features. It offers no islands to be placed and no stars to be collected. That being said, it is still very fun to create your own super track. I created one that had so many super jumps, I just kept adding more to see how cool it was. However, when I tried to save the track the game wouldn't save it for some reason. I was planning on using a video capture to give you guys a good idea of how it works. Oh well. I found an excellent video of level 4 on youtube though so enjoy.
Overall, I think this is a great little time-waster that fans of Line Rider should try. At 12.3mb, it is worth a try right? I give the game an 8/10.
