A lot less than when XP went live in October 2001.
Windows 7 should be RTM in 3rd quarter of 2010.
I am not getting excited about the rush.
I did like the fact that IE can be un-installed an re-installed.
It's installed by default, hopefully we should be able to do the same with that nasty

After some problems trying to re-install windows onto a particular HDD, I tried the Win 7 Beta to see if that would work. It didn't which leads me to beleive that particular HDD has some problems; however I was quite impressed with the new OS. The sleek looks and simple layout were pleasant to look at and my first impressions were positive.
However, I won't be reinstalling it until a commercial version becomes available. The way I accumulate programs on my computers, it would be a waste of time, considering the beta is only valid until August. I realise using the beta is only for test purposes though. Sorry for going off topic....:)
As for the number of bugs, I'm sure thats normal with a new OS. :)
