I mentioned in an earlier post that the first time you log into Win11 24H2 you may see a message that a driver has been blocked. It may also block drivers silently -- you won't know about it until you start troubleshooting why something does not work, finding a driver or service just MIA. This happened on my wife's PC with Realtek audio drivers/software.
She had no audio with her games. The service the motherboard audio used wasn't running, & would not run. The drivers were from 2019, so I downloaded and tried installing the latest available from Asus, from 2022. Per the setup logs, setup failed -- was stopped [I assume by Win11] before it could complete, but luckily, the drivers themselves did get installed so that audio now at least works.
