I was expecting something like StreamFab -- videohelp[.]com/software/DVDFab-Downloader -- that downloads video files without DRM, but when I tried with Hulu for example I only got a very limited selection of titles, likely only those that Hulu already allows subscribers to download. Using the app is straightforward enough, as you select the site to download from, enter your email & password on the popup dialog, then enter a URL or perform a search. I went the search route rather than opening a separate browser window & signing in there to find the URL. There is an immediate update available, and it does stay activated/registered.
StreamGet installs by default to Users\ [UserName]\ AppData\ Local\ Programs\ -- you can change that, but to use something like the standard Program Files (x86) you have to run setup as admin. or installation will fail. Using that install location you have to also run it as admin. to perform the update. Additional folders are added to Users\ [UserName]\ AppData\ Local\, where copies of the setup files are stored, & Users\ [UserName]\ AppData\ Roaming\. The registry gets one key for the app & one for uninstall, and uninstall leaves the folders and registry key in place.
