This is something that's been around for years, but this article reminded me. To create this magic folder just create a folder wherever you like in Windows Explorer and name it:
".{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
" [quotes not necessary] -- you can put a name in front of the leading ".", but it doesn't matter, because the new folder will not have or show any name. You can create a shortcut to that folder, choosing a name and icon for that shortcut, but you have to enter the path to the folder yourself, e.g., C:\Users\ [UserName]\ .{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} -- you can't copy/paste shortcut like normal folders. The author of the article also gives the option to create a shortcut using Windows Shell, but be aware that changing the icon used will also show up elsewhere in Windows.
